This role sits at the core of a large-scale cloud transformation effort, focusing on designing, building, and optimizing secure and scalable infrastructure that powers enterprise virtual desktop environments. You will play a key role in shaping modern cloud platforms across multi-cloud ecosystems, ensuring high availability, performance, and security for critical workloads. With a strong emphasis on VDI architecture, networking, and automation-first principles, you will help unify and streamline complex infrastructure across multiple environments. The position involves close collaboration with security, platform engineering, and application teams to enable seamless integration and migration of services. You will also contribute to the evolution of infrastructure-as-code practices, driving standardization and self-service capabilities. This is a high-impact engineering role in a fast-evolving, mission-driven healthcare technology environment.
- Design, deploy, and optimize cloud infrastructure supporting VDI environments across Azure, AWS, and GCP.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code tools to ensure scalable, secure, and repeatable deployments.
- Manage and troubleshoot enterprise networking components including virtual networks, routing, firewall rules, and load balancing.
- Implement and support secure connectivity solutions such as VPN, Direct Connect, and ExpressRoute across cloud environments.
- Architect and maintain VDI platforms, ensuring reliability across compute, storage, networking, and identity dependencies.
- Collaborate with security and compliance teams to ensure adherence to frameworks such as SOC2, HITRUST, and FedRAMP.
- Drive infrastructure standardization, automation, and self-service capabilities across engineering teams.
- 8+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering, platform engineering, or cloud architecture roles.
- Strong expertise in cloud networking and infrastructure across Azure, AWS, and/or GCP.
- Deep, hands-on experience with VDI architecture, including networking, identity, compute, and storage dependencies.
- Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and automation frameworks like Ansible.
- Strong understanding of core technologies including Windows/Linux systems, DNS, IPAM, Active Directory, and IAM services.
- Experience with cloud networking components such as VNets, VPCs, transit gateways, NSGs, and load balancers.
- Familiarity with observability and monitoring tools such as Datadog, CloudWatch, or Azure Log Analytics.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex infrastructure concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with cloud security frameworks and enterprise compliance standards is highly desirable.
- Competitive total cash compensation ranging from $165,000 to $200,000 USD annually.
