Job Description
About Us:
DeCoach Recovery is a leading addiction treatment center dedicated to providing comprehensive and compassionate care to individuals struggling with substance use disorders. We offer a range of evidence-based treatments and therapies tailored to each patient's unique needs, with a focus on long-term recovery and wellness.
Summary of position: Peer Support Specialist is responsible for providing direct client services that address DeCoach Recovery Centre's mission and are provided in a manner consistent with the organization's vision and values. The hours for this position are Tuesday - Saturday, 8:00am-4:30pm. Some travel between locations may be required.
Responsibilities:
- Provides peer support services under clinical supervision to adults that meet productivity and quality requirements set by DeCoach Rehabilitation Centre
- Obtain the following therapeutic services as determined by the Treatment Team and specified in the client’s Individual Treatment Plan: individual counseling, family counseling, group counseling, community activities, Facility visits, vocational training, and follow-up care
- Comply with all new and current policies and procedures of DeCoach Rehabilitation Centre
- Work with administrative/team managers to improve the quality of services through on-going studies of existing services, and needs assessment for improvement and revisions
- Direct knowledge of substance abuse, correct documentation procedures, and current therapeutic methods.
Qualifications:
- Graduate from an accredited college/university
- Certified Peer Support Specialist certification is required
- Must be licensed to practice in the State of Ohio
- Competent in peer support services.
