GEOINT Source Throughput Analyst

NGA · GEOINT COLLECTION · SOURCE INTEGRATION · SENIOR

New capabilities are only valuable if they actually make it into operations. As a GEOINT Source Throughput Analyst, you are the bridge between emerging collection architecture and operational reality — synchronizing mission requirements, building relationships across NGA, the IC, and key source stakeholders, and leading the integration work that ensures new and modified capabilities land in operations without gaps, conflicts, or redundancies.

Role Overview

The GEOINT Source Throughput Analyst applies deep TCPED experience to synchronize mission requirements, prevent redundancies, and lead integration activities as new or modified collection capabilities transition into operations. You develop and sustain mission relationships across NGA, the IC, DoD, and key NRO stakeholders to support future architecture, while also managing large multi-source datasets, developing automated collection strategies, and working alongside data scientists to apply inferencing approaches. This role requires sustained multi-tasking across a complex multi-location program management environment and the ability to ensure new capabilities are properly fielded and operationally effective.

Source-Derived Role Summary

The Enhancement Specialist synchronizes mission requirements to prevent redundancies, identify conflicts, and review priorities for tasking of traditional and non-traditional GEOINT sources. Ensures new or modified capabilities from National assets are transitioned into operations properly and leads teams executing integration activities. Develops and sustains mission relationships across NGA, the IC, and DoD and builds relationships with key NRO stakeholders to support future architecture.

A Day in the Life
  • ✓Synchronize mission requirements across stakeholders — identifying redundancies, surfacing conflicts, and reviewing priorities for tasking of traditional and non-traditional GEOINT sources
  • ✓Lead teams executing integration activities to ensure new or modified capabilities from National assets transition into operations properly and without service disruption
  • ✓Develop and sustain mission relationships across NGA, the IC, and DoD; build and maintain relationships with key NRO stakeholders to inform and support future collection architecture
  • ✓Manage large multi-source datasets: sense-make across feeds, assess model output confidence and reliability metrics, and apply findings to collection and integration decisions
  • ✓Develop automated collection strategies and collaborate with data scientists applying inferencing methodologies that derive insights from temporal and spatial datasets
  • ✓Multi-task across simultaneous operational demands in a program management and professional environment supporting several geographically separated client locations
Why This Role Matters

Mission Impact

New collection capabilities only deliver value when they reach operations cleanly and without conflict. The integration and synchronization work you lead determines whether emerging capabilities actually improve the GEOINT collection enterprise — or create confusion and gaps.

Geo Owl Impact

Your operational integration experience and stakeholder relationships contribute directly to Geo Owl's performance on this program and our credibility as a trusted GEOINT partner across the NGA and IC enterprise.

Your Growth

You'll build rare expertise at the intersection of collection operations, capability integration, and future architecture — developing NRO, NGA, and IC stakeholder relationships that open doors across the national security enterprise.

Core Responsibilities
  • ▸Synchronize mission requirements to prevent redundancies, identify conflicts, and review priorities for tasking of traditional and non-traditional GEOINT sources
  • ▸Ensure new or modified capabilities from National assets are transitioned into operations properly; lead teams executing integration activities
  • ▸Develop and sustain mission relationships across NGA, the IC, and DoD; build relationships with key NRO stakeholders to support future architecture development
  • ▸Apply full TCPED lifecycle expertise to support real-time and activity-based collection across a geographically distributed operational environment
  • ▸Manage and sense-make large multi-source datasets; assess model output confidence and reliability metrics to inform tasking and integration decisions
  • ▸Develop automated collection strategies; collaborate with data scientists applying inferencing methodologies that derive insights from temporal and spatial datasets
  • ▸Navigate NSG focus areas and collection management structures; leverage IC collaborative tools for GEOINT collection, production, and visualization
Required Qualifications
  • ✓TS/SCI clearance with polygraph
  • ✓Minimum 10 experience points required (see experience point calculation below)
  • ✓HS diploma or GED
  • ✓5+ years of experience with TCPED of GEOINT data, including support to real-time and activity-based collection
  • ✓5+ years of experience managing large multi-source data, sensemaking, assessing metrics associated with model output confidence/reliability, developing automated collection strategies, and working with data scientists
  • ✓Knowledge of traditional and developing overhead sensors and capabilities; exposure to automated collection strategies and inferencing methodologies deriving insights from temporal and spatial datasets
  • ✓Experience with NSG focus areas and collection management structures, including NSG/IC collaborative tools for GEOINT collection, production, and visualization
  • ✓Ability to develop and sustain mission relationships across NGA, the IC, and DoD; ability to build relationships with key NRO stakeholders to support future architecture
  • ✓Ability to synchronize mission requirements to prevent redundancies, identify conflicts, and review priorities for tasking of traditional and non-traditional GEOINT sources
  • ✓Ability to ensure new or modified capabilities from National assets are transitioned into operations properly and to lead teams executing integration activities
  • ✓Experience multi-tasking across day-to-day operations in a program management environment spanning multiple geographically separated client locations

Preferred Qualifications

  • ▸Experience turning intelligence capabilities and workflows into learning objectives for training audiences
  • ▸Experience providing feedback to assist with development of training materials
  • ▸GEOINT Professional Certification – Fundamentals (GPC-F)
  • ▸Experience with GEOINT collection management systems reflecting knowledge of the GEOINT Community, its focus areas, and its collection management structures
  • ▸Experience with research, evaluation, and documentation of unique and non-traditional National Technical Means (NTM) sensor capabilities
  • ▸Operational experience with vector data

Experience Point Requirement

This is a Senior-level (Level 4) position requiring a minimum of 10 experience points. Points are calculated as follows:

  • Education: Associate's = 2 pts · Bachelor's = 3 pts · Master's = +2 pts · PhD = +3 pts
  • Professional / Military Experience: 1 pt per year of relevant experience
  • Certifications: 0.5 pts each
  • Specialized Training: 0.25 pts per relevant course
  • Professional Impact (publications, presentations, patents): up to 3 pts total

What Makes Someone Successful in This Role
  • ▸You think in integration — you see how a new capability lands in operations, what it conflicts with, and what has to change before it can be effective
  • ▸You build relationships that outlast a program — your network across NGA, the IC, and source stakeholders is a genuine professional asset, not a contact list
  • ▸You synchronize without bureaucratizing — you prevent conflicts and redundancies by surfacing them early and resolving them through relationships and judgment, not process overhead
  • ▸You bridge technical and operational worlds — you can work alongside data scientists on inferencing models and translate the results into collection and tasking decisions
  • ▸You lead under operational pressure — you coordinate distributed teams across multiple locations and keep integration work moving even when the requirements change mid-stream
Is This Role For You?

✔ Great Fit

You are a senior GEOINT collection professional with strong TCPED experience and a track record of building productive relationships across the IC, NGA, and source communities. You want a role where your integration and synchronization work has real operational impact — and where you're part of shaping how new capabilities enter the collection enterprise.

✘ May Not Be For You

This may not be the right fit if you prefer an individual contributor or purely analytic role without stakeholder management and integration leadership responsibilities, or if coordinating across a distributed, multi-organization environment is not a fit for your working style.

Career Growth & Professional Value

This role builds a rare combination of deep TCPED operational experience and future architecture influence — putting you at the table when decisions about next-generation collection capabilities are made. The NGA, IC, and NRO relationships you develop here are some of the most valuable in the GEOINT enterprise, and the integration and synchronization skills you sharpen are in demand at every level of national GEOINT leadership.
