Job Description
This position will be located at Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Network's state-of-the-art, 76-bed inpatient rehabilitation hospital which revolutionizes treatment and recovery options for people with complex medical conditions, such as stroke, spinal cord injury, brain injury and other serious injuries or illnesses. The four-story, 123,000-square-foot facility on Center Valley Parkway features all private rooms and offer world-class physical rehabilitation care to patients who are recovering from complex and catastrophic conditions.
One of the most novel and exciting spaces to spur innovation in Good Shepherd’s new hospital is The Experience Center. This first-of-its-kind space will give people with disabilities and other mobility challenges an environment where they can explore the latest advancements, like 3D printing, robotics, wearables, artificial intelligence and smart home and personal assistance devices, designed to promote healing and independence and make people’s lives better.
Job Summary:
To provide state-of-the-art physiatric care for Good Shepherd patients and support the Good Shepherd Mission by running our Brain Injury program.
Essential Functions:
*Provides medical leadership
*Performs requested evaluations and follow-up visits
*Provides educational supervision for assigned PM&R residency program and medical students
Education:
Residency training and clinical experience in diagnosis, medical and rehabilitation management of patients with impairments related to neurologic, musculoskeletal, cardiopulmonary and other general disorders required
Work Experience:
*Previous experience in diagnosis of medical and rehabilitation management of patients required
*Must have desire to care for patients with brain injuries
Licenses / Certifications:
*Board Certified/Board Qualified Physiatrist required
*Pennsylvania State Medical License required
