Seasonal Order Processing Assistant in Wakefield, Virginia at The Gerard Group, Inc

The Order Processing Assistant plays a key role in supporting order fulfillment operations by processing customer orders, handling catalog requests, and preparing shipping documentation. This is a temporary seasonal position running from September through December.

Responsibilities

• Process customer orders accurately and efficiently based on daily order volume.
• Prioritize and release orders for shipment to support efficient distribution center operations.
• Review shipping documents for completeness and accuracy.
• Prepare, locate, and distribute any additional documentation required for shipments.
• Enter and post daily transactions in the order fulfillment system in a timely manner.
• Process customer credits and submit transactions to the credit card processing provider.
• Manage catalog requests, including preparing and mailing catalogs as needed.
• Assist with customer service inquiries and process order adjustments when required.
• Process and monitor all e-commerce and internet orders.
• Support special projects and perform additional duties as assigned by management.
  

• Previous data entry experience preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.

Schedule

• Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Overtime may be required based on business needs.
• Occasional half-day Saturdays required during the peak holiday season (November 25 – December 16).
