The physician recruiter will partner with management and medical staff to oversee the recruitment function for needed physicians and mid-level providers, including screening for the most qualified applicants, analyzing professional and personal needs, orchestrating interviews and site visits, engaging community members and local physicians. The position will also develop marketing and appropriate advertising and develop new and effective methods of recruitment and retention.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION:
- Develop comprehensive recruitment plans for specific practice openings as assigned.
- Implement search strategies for candidate generation and sourcing activities, including but not limited to advertisements, referrals, mailings, and developing and sustaining relationships with firms engaged in physician search, recruitment and placement.
- Network with physicians and mid-level practitioners as well as prospective candidates to obtain referrals to openings.
- Screen all applicants for qualifications, professionalism and minimal requirements (licensure, background checks, and certifications) and refers the most qualified candidates to the practice or hiring manager.
- Maintain documentation file to be completed by all successful candidates; facilitate reference checks, license requests and staff application/privileges.
- Sources, screens, support interviews and negotiates contracts with Medical Providers to staff Ellis Medicine facilities in accordance with identified business needs.
- Networks throughout geographic territory to establish recognition of Ellis Medicine needs.
- Evaluates plans and updates physician/group staffing for immediate and future needs.
- Arranges and attends candidate interviews. Arranges for physician visits and travel.
- Work with the Provider to complete the onboarding process. Assist with preparation of new hire file for system inputting once a start date has been established. Forward necessary paperwork to appropriate departments as needed.
- Works closely with Human Resources, Corporate Compliance, Finance and Legal Services to ensure all physician hires meet the needs of the departments, organization and employees in accordance with policies and procedures.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT(S):
- Bachelor’s degree required, master’s degree preferred.
- CPRP or equivalent certification highly desired.
- Minimum of 3 years’ clinical recruiting experience or comparable recruitment experience.
- Familiarity with medical recruitment sources, strategies and technologies.
- Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
- Positive energy.
- Ability to work in a team environment and data driven environment.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Work is primarily indoors under normal working conditions. Must be able to sit and use a computer for extended periods; perform frequent keyboarding and other hand-eye coordination tasks; and intermittently stand, walk, squat, and lift/move up to 15 lb. (push/pull up to 25 lb.).

Salary Range: $38.59-$57.89 /per hour Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
