Commercial Contract Specialist

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Commercial Contract Specialist based in the United States.

This role supports the commercial team by managing contract development and ensuring agreements are accurate, compliant, and aligned with business objectives.
The position plays a key part in coordinating contract workflows between commercial, legal, implementation, operations, and external stakeholders.
You will contribute to drafting, reviewing, tracking, and finalizing agreements while maintaining strong operational standards.
The role requires a detail-oriented professional who can interpret complex contractual requirements and support efficient decision-making.

Accountabilities:

The Commercial Contract Specialist will support the full contract lifecycle, ensuring agreements are developed, reviewed, finalized, and maintained according to organizational standards and compliance requirements. The role requires close collaboration with internal teams and occasional interaction with external partners.

  • Support contract management activities, including initiating drafts for NDAs, MSAs, SOWs, amendments, and other commercial agreements.
  • Coordinate agreement scope, timelines, budgets, and requirements with sales teams, operational subject matter experts, and leadership stakeholders.
  • Review and analyze contract documents, proposals, and client-provided agreements to identify requirements, risks, and necessary updates.
  • Assist legal teams by preparing documents, tracking revisions, organizing feedback, and ensuring alignment with internal policies and legal standards.
  • Manage contract workflows from initial drafting through review cycles, approvals, execution, and final distribution.
  • Maintain accurate contract records, repositories, trackers, and reporting tools to support visibility across commercial, legal, and operational teams.
  • Maintain contract templates and libraries to improve efficiency and consistency across agreement development processes.
  • Monitor contract renewals and support ongoing contract administration activities.
  • Participate in commercial team meetings and contribute to process improvements and operational initiatives.
  • Complete additional responsibilities as needed to support business objectives.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate brings strong contract management experience, excellent organizational abilities, and the capacity to collaborate across multiple teams in a fast-paced environment. A background in healthcare, life sciences, or related industries is highly valuable.

  • Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, marketing, business administration, or a related field required.
  • 5+ years of experience in patient access support, contract management, client management, or a related field.
  • Experience working with document management and contract management systems, including Google Suite and Office 365.
  • Strong understanding of contract administration principles, processes, budgeting, and pricing fundamentals.
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare, or commercial pharmacy industries.
  • Familiarity with procurement regulations, industry standards, and commercial contracting requirements.
  • Advanced understanding of pharmaceutical-related commercial contracting regulations.
  • Knowledge of federal and state contracting policies, including HIPAA and patient privacy requirements, preferred.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and project coordination abilities.
  • Advanced analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to interpret complex agreements, requirements, and contractual documentation.
  • Ability to independently manage workflows, prioritize tasks, and adapt to changing business needs.
  • Experience contributing to contract strategy, process improvements, and cross-functional collaboration preferred.
Benefits:
  • Competitive salary range of $54,200–$93,600 annually.

  • Standard Monday–Friday schedule, 8:00 A.M.–5:00 P.M., with occasional evening or weekend hours based on business needs.
