Position Information
The Admissions Specialist serves as a representative of the University of California, Riverside and supports undergraduate enrollment goals through recruitment, admissions evaluation, and outreach activities. This position is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with high schools, community colleges, counselors, students, families, and community-based organizations within assigned recruitment territories. The incumbent conducts recruitment presentations, college fairs, workshops, campus events, webinars, and other outreach activities while providing guidance on admissions requirements, academic programs, and the admissions process. In addition to recruitment responsibilities, the Admissions Specialist evaluates undergraduate applications and applies University of California admissions policies and campus guidelines to determine applicant eligibility. The position also supports yield initiatives, special projects, and departmental programs designed to increase applications, enrollment, and student engagement. The Admissions Specialist collaborates with campus partners and utilizes enrollment management systems and data tools to support outreach efforts, monitor territory performance, and contribute to strategic enrollment initiatives. The position requires travel, including evening and weekend commitments during peak recruitment periods.The full salary range for this position is $64,050.00 - $112,140.00. However, the expected pay scale for this position is $64,050.00 - $70,000.00 annually. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs. Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff.As a University employee, you will be required to comply with all applicable University policies and/or collective bargaining agreements, as may be amended from time to time. Federal, state, or local government directives may impose additional requirements.
