Nurse Practitioner (APRN)
Location: FDHS Westchase Gastroenterology, LLC - Tampa, FL
Description: We are seeking an experienced and motivated Mid-Level Provider (Advanced Practice Registered Nurse [APRN] or Physician Assistant [PA]) to join our growing and dynamic healthcare team. This is an excellent opportunity to provide comprehensive outpatient gastroenterology care in a supportive, collaborative, and patient-centered environment.
The APRN/PA will work closely with gastroenterologists and a multidisciplinary healthcare team to evaluate, diagnose, and manage a broad range of gastrointestinal conditions. The ideal candidate will provide compassionate, evidence-based care while developing individualized treatment plans and promoting patient education focused on disease management, prevention, and overall wellness.

Essential Duties:
- Deliver exceptional outpatient care to gastroenterology patients, including assessment, diagnosis, and development of treatment plans.
- Collaborate closely with supervising physicians and clinical team members to ensure coordinated, high-quality patient care.
- Provide patient education on GI health, disease prevention, medication management, and treatment options.
- Conduct physical examinations and interpret diagnostic studies related to GI conditions.
- Document encounters accurately and promptly in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Maintain compliance with infection control, medication administration, and safety standards.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
- Active license in good standing with the state of Florida
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience.
- General Medicine or GI training preferred but not required – training and mentorship will be provided.
- Ability to work effectively in fast-paced environment and collaborate with team members.
- Proficiency in EMR documentation and time management.
- Ability to maintain effective and organized systems to ensure timely patient flow
- Strong written and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
- Knowledge of HIPAA and medical terminology
- Commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered care.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for local travel.

Physical Demands
The employee may be required to stand for extended periods, lift and move equipment and assist with positioning patients during procedures. The employee is frequently required to walk; sit; use hands for fine manipulation, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms using a keyboard and video display terminal. The employee is occasionally required to stand and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl and climb stairs. The employee should be able to lift and move up to 25 lbs. Adequate vision, hearing, and manual dexterity are essential for performing clinical duties effectively.
