Job Objective: Oversee and coordinate the daily activities of a production work cell to ensure safe operations, consistent product quality, proper material flow, and the achievement of production goals while guiding, supporting, and training employees within the assigned area.

- Coordinate and supervise daily production activities to meet schedules, targets, and quality standards; working alongside staff to fulfill production needs as required.
- Assign work orders and tasks; ensure proper staffing and coverage across work areas and shifts; follow up on all assigned work.
- Monitor workflow, production output, and labor resources to optimize efficiency and balance workload.
- Promote, enforce, and maintain a safe, clean, and compliant work environment in line with company safety policies and procedures; report unsafe conditions and incidents promptly.
- Lead, train, mentor, and support production staff; provide coaching, on‑the‑job training, and performance feedback.
- Oversee machine setup, operation, shutdown, and line changeovers as needed; troubleshoot minor equipment issues and escalate when needed.
- Perform or oversee quality checks on materials, in‑process products, and finished goods; sign off on first article inspections when required.
- Ensure accurate completion and entry of production paperwork, shift reports, and inventory data.
- Coordinate material movement, inventory needs, and consumable ordering with purchasing, warehouse, or plant management.
- Collaborate with Maintenance, Quality, Shipping/Logistics, and front‑office staff to resolve issues and support production flow.
- Identify and implement process improvements, cost‑saving opportunities, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Serve as primary point of contact between employees and management; communicate directives, concerns, and updates.
- Other tasks and duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
The requirements listed below are representative of the minimum education, experience, certifications, skills, and/or abilities required for this position.
Education & Experience: Previous supervisory experience a plus.
Skills/Abilities:
Ability to read and understand work instructions, as well as to communicate effectively.
Ability to work scheduled work hours, along with occasional required overtime.
Ability to effectively self-manage time and service multiple areas.
Supervisory Responsibility: Staff in assigned production area.

Physical requirements include:
Bending, reaching, stretching, kneeling, and stooping.
Standing for up to 8 hours at a time.
Frequently lifting, pulling, and pushing of materials up to 30 lbs., and occasionally up to 60 lbs.
Travel: May have minimal travel requirements for trainings.
Working Conditions: The work environment for this position is a warehouse environment with moderate to loud noise levels. The environment may be dusty and may experience temperature fluctuations based on weather which exposes the employee to outdoor conditions.
