Posterity Group LLC is a veteran owned, service-disabled small business, headquartered in Rockville, MD, that specializes in federal government contracting and staffing. We are cultivating a WARP Multidisciplinary Clinic and looking to staff Speech Language Pathologists to provide their services to veterans in our Rockville, MD headquarters. The Speech Language Pathologist is expected to perform the following:

  • Evaluate speech, receptive and expressive language, cognition, memory, attention, executive function and social communication.
  • Assess and treat aphasia, dysarthria, apraxia, voice and fluency disorders.
  • Provide cognitive rehabilitation following stroke, TBI, neurological disease or other impairment.
  • Evaluate and treat feeding and swallowing disorders when appropriately trained and privileged.
  • Develop augmentative and alternative communication strategies.
  • Support children with developmental-language, social-communication and feeding needs.
  • Collaborate with ABA clinicians on functional communication without duplicating or exceeding either discipline’s scope.
  • Train patients, families and team members in communication-support strategies.
  • Recommend instrumental swallowing assessment or specialty referral when clinically indicated.
  • Coordinate return-to-school, return-to-work and community communication goals.
  • Document standardized findings, medical necessity, progress and discharge recommendations.
Requirements:

Minimum qualifications

  • Master’s degree or higher in speech-language pathology from an accredited program.
  • Active Maryland SLP license—or a Maryland limited license with approved supervision for a clinical fellow.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Demonstrated competence for any dysphagia or feeding services assigned.

Maryland requires approval of a limited license before supervised clinical-fellowship practice begins. Maryland SLP licensing requirements

Preferred qualifications

  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Experience with neurological rehabilitation, autism, AAC, pediatrics or dysphagia.
  • Training in cognitive rehabilitation and trauma-informed communication.
  • Experience serving Veterans with TBI, stroke or progressive neurological disease.

Performance indicators

  • Improvement in functional communication and cognitive outcomes.
  • Swallowing safety and diet-plan adherence.
  • AAC adoption and successful caregiver training.
  • Goal attainment and discharge readiness.
  • Documentation and payer compliance.
  • Patient and caregiver experience.
