This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Advertising Account Director, Enterprise based in the United States.
This is a high-impact enterprise sales role focused on accelerating growth across a portfolio of strategic advertising accounts.
You’ll manage a mix of established customers and dormant accounts, creating both immediate revenue and significant greenfield opportunity.
The role sits at the intersection of digital advertising, programmatic media, SaaS, and account-based marketing.
You’ll build senior-level relationships, expand customer footprints, and re-engage organizations to unlock new revenue streams.
Working closely with sales, marketing, product, and customer success teams, you’ll help deliver measurable business outcomes for enterprise clients.
The environment is fast-moving and entrepreneurial, offering significant autonomy to shape sales strategies and influence the evolution of the advertising business.
It’s an excellent opportunity for a strategic enterprise seller looking to expand their expertise from ad-tech into broader SaaS and ABM sales.
- Manage a portfolio of approximately 25–50 strategic enterprise accounts against an annual quota of around $15M, balancing active customers with dormant accounts and new growth opportunities.
- Reactivate dormant accounts by treating them as new-business opportunities, developing targeted strategies to rebuild relationships, generate pipeline, and drive revenue.
- Expand relationships within healthy accounts by developing executive-level connections and engaging multiple stakeholders and buying groups.
- Partner closely with regional and account sales teams to coordinate account strategies and create integrated advertising, SaaS, and ABM opportunities.
- Lead enterprise sales cycles ranging from shorter quarterly transactions to complex procurement processes lasting 9–12 months.
- Maintain a strong pipeline-generation cadence, provide accurate revenue forecasts, and execute disciplined enterprise sales processes.
- Act as a trusted strategic advisor to customers, connecting advertising and ABM capabilities to measurable business and revenue outcomes.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Product, and Customer Success to strengthen market positioning, improve customer engagement, and expand opportunities within the advertising ecosystem.
- Identify emerging customer needs and market opportunities, using creativity and commercial judgment to develop solutions that support long-term account growth.
- 7+ years of enterprise sales experience within digital media, DSP, ad-tech, programmatic advertising, or a closely related technology environment.
- Demonstrated success generating significant enterprise revenue, including experience managing or closing $1M+ deals and balancing account expansion with new-business hunting.
- Strong executive relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage senior decision-makers as well as functional and technical stakeholders.
- Proven ability to re-engage dormant accounts, uncover new opportunities, and turn underperforming territories or accounts into meaningful revenue contributors.
- Excellent consultative selling, negotiation, presentation, communication, forecasting, and account-planning skills.
- Ability to operate effectively without rigid playbooks, demonstrate initiative, and adapt quickly in a rapidly evolving commercial environment.
- Strong curiosity and creativity, with the ability to understand complex customer needs and connect them to relevant business solutions.
- Experience with SaaS and/or account-based marketing is advantageous, although not required; the role offers an opportunity to develop broader SaaS sales expertise.
- Comfortable working cross-functionally and in collaborative co-selling environments, with strong organizational discipline and ownership of outcomes.
- Competitive compensation package designed to support both professional and financial growth.
- Medical and vision coverage with premiums covered up to 100% for eligible employees.
- Mental health and wellness resources, including access to Modern Health.
- Flexible paid time off to support work-life balance and personal needs.
- 15 paid holidays, including extended company breaks around July 4th and Thanksgiving.
- No Internal Meetings Fridays, providing dedicated uninterrupted time for focused work.
- Competitive 401(k) retirement plan.
- Short-term and long-term disability coverage.
- Life insurance and additional benefits supporting financial security and overall wellbeing.
- Inclusive workplace culture focused on equal opportunity, collaboration, professional development, and diverse perspectives.
- Opportunity to expand from enterprise advertising and ad-tech into SaaS and ABM sales motions while working with strategic enterprise customers.
