Senior Install Field Technician in jackson, New Jersey at Handex Consulting & Remediation

Handex is hiring a Senior Install Field Technician.

As the Senior Install Field Techncian, you will work on construction, installation and maintenance projects at our various environmental remediation job sites including wastewater treatment facilities and refineries throughout New Jersey.

What will be my responsibilities?

· Assigned daily and weekly to New Jersey remediation client project sites to perform and complete various installation/construction tasks in a timely manner such as: Piping (PVC, Copper, PEX), Carpentry and Concrete/Masonry work(Pouring, Forming, Finishing).

· Begin and end the day by reporting to the Jackson NJ facility on a daily basis to load and unload materials onto company truck needed for job sites.

· Utilize hand and powered industrial tools (pneumatic, electrical, and hydraulic) including pressure washers and saws at construction job sites.

· Follow all Company Standard Operating Procedures for field work and adhere to, and ensure constant safety and compliance with, Handex policies and processes, and all related regulations.

· Wear and properly use a variety of Level D personal protective Equipment (PPE), including respirators, skin, face, hand and/or foot protection.

· Ensure job sites are neat, clean and free of debris and safety compliant.

· Accurately maintain and promptly process expenses and timesheets.

· Consistently represent Handex in a professional manner while assigned to projects, collaborating effectively with teammates, and maintaining respectful and positive working relationships with the team.

Skills Needed for success:

· High school diploma/GED. Vocational Tech training in plumbing or carpentry a plus.

· 10+ years installation construction experience which includes plumbing ,masonry and carpentry.

· Building & grounds maintenance or facilities maintenance experience highly desired.

· 40 Hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification preferred, but not required.

· Required to walk and stand for extended periods of time, work sometimes in severe weather conditions and varying locations that may or may not require Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

· Ability to work overtime when required.

· Team player with good work ethic and willingness to follow directions.

· Willingness to travel daily to client sites in New Jersey as well as loading/unloading equipment daily at Jackson, NJ location.

· Valid driver license in good standing a must. CDL a plus.

· Ability to pass background checks (criminal/drug/alcohol).

Salary Range:

$35 to $45/HR based on experience.
