Job Description

Position Description: Job Overview:
The Manager In Training (MIT) is responsible for learning all aspects of the Store Manager position, which includes planning, directing, and overseeing the operations and fiscal health of the store.

Essential Job Functions include, but not limited to:
• Recruiting, training, scheduling, supervising and appraising staff
• Reviewing and approving employee timecards and vacation requests
• Conducting performance reviews
• Ability to handle disciplinary issues and take appropriate action
• Managing the overall operational and financial responsibilities
• Handling customer queries and complaints
• Overseeing pricing and stock control
• Maximizing profitability and meeting sales targets and budget goals
• Protecting employees and customers by providing a safe and clean store environment

Qualifications/Experience/Education
• Ability to read, understand, and write the English language at the 12th Grade level
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent education
• Must have a valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle
• Travel to all stores within 60-mile district required
• Ability to work 40+ hours a week, including occasional nights, weekends, and holidays
• Must be highly organized and have the ability to multi-task
• Must possess strong leadership, management, team-building, and communication skills
• Demonstrated knowledge of basic economic, budgeting, employment laws and practices, and accounting principles
