Technical Focus Areas

Dedicated Outdoor Air Systems (DOAS)

The specialist will apply CAREL control solutions to DOAS equipment requiring precise outdoor air conditioning, energy recovery, and dehumidification. This includes control of refrigerant-based cooling and heating coils, energy recovery wheels, heat pipes, and runaround coils. Key competencies include demand-controlled ventilation (DCV) logic, ASHRAE 62.1 compliance, CO₂-based reset strategies, and integration of CAREL humidity sensors and controllers to maintain neutral or slightly positive supply air dewpoint. The specialist will configure and optimize CAREL controls for refrigerant circuit management

Commercial Rooftop Units (RTUs)

Expertise is required in configuring CAREL controllers and drives for packaged commercial rooftop equipment ranging from small tonnage split systems to large built-up rooftop platforms. The specialist will work with OEM engineering teams on compressor staging and variable speed control using CAREL inverters, economizer damper control sequences, heat exchanger management, and refrigerant circuit protection. Focus areas include demand response integration, power metering, and configuration of CAREL supervisory tools for fleet monitoring of multi-site RTU installations across retail and commercial portfolios.

Commercial Heat Pumps – Air-to-Water, Water-to-Water, and VRF

The specialist will support OEMs developing commercial heat pump products using CAREL controls. This encompasses reversing cycle management, defrost logic, refrigerant charge optimization with CAREL electronic expansion valves (ExV), COP monitoring, and integration with hydronic distribution systems.. Geothermal and ground-source heat pump controls, including ground loop management and fluid temperature optimization, are also within scope.

Air Handling Units, Fan Coil Units, and Central Station Equipment

Application of CAREL's platform to commercial AHUs and central station equipment, including variable air volume (VAV) controls, static pressure reset, supply air temperature reset, heat recovery, and humidification using CAREL humidifiers. The specialist will guide OEMs in applying CAREL's full controls ecosystem—sensors, valves, drives, and supervisory—within large commercial air handling platforms for healthcare, hospitality, and institutional applications.

CAREL Product Integration and Supervisory Systems

Deep working knowledge of the CAREL product ecosystem is central to this role, including controllers, CAREL electronic expansion valves, supervisory software, and CAREL variable speed drives (inverters) for compressors and fans.
