Job Description

The Accounts Payable Specialist Maintenance works closely with vendors/departments to ensure timely and accurate payment processing. This position will also be responsible for working open items including payment discrepancies or other inquiries. This position will also be responsible for reviewing, processing and payment of all TMT invoices.

Responsibilities

  • Review and process TMT invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely payment.
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Complete and send special remittances.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all TMT Accounts Payable transactions.
  • Assist with month-end close processes and provide support for audits.
  • ⁠Work closely with internal departments and external vendors to resolve any payment issues or discrepancies.
  • Cross train with other employees to assist with daily functions in the Accounts Payable department.
  • Assist with other accounting duties as assigned by the Accounts Payable Supervisor.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong written and verbal communication with the ability to provide valuable and timely customer service.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • High level attention to detail and organization.
  • Excellent understanding of Microsoft products.
  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment with rapidly changing priorities and competing deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Organized and effective under pressure and accountable for results.

Education/Experience

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required.
  • Previous accounts payable experience preferred.
  • Transportation industry experience preferred.

The posted range reflects the full pay band for the position. The expected pay range below represents where most candidates are hired, based on experience, skills, and internal equity. Candidates with more extensive or highly relevant experience may be considered toward the higher end of the overall pay band.

  • Expected Pay Range: $16.41-$18.05
  • Full Pay Range: $16.41-$24.24
  • Pay Grade: 4
