This role plays a key part in shaping and executing global compensation strategies that attract, retain, and reward top talent in a fast-moving technology environment. You will act as a trusted advisor to senior HR and business leaders, primarily supporting a global Engineering organization with complex and evolving needs. The position combines deep analytical rigor with strategic storytelling, translating market data into clear, actionable compensation decisions. You will contribute to annual compensation cycles, equity and incentive programs, and ongoing pay governance initiatives. Working within a high-performing Total Rewards function, you will help ensure compensation practices remain competitive, fair, and aligned with business objectives. This is a highly visible role where your insights directly influence talent strategy and organizational performance.
- Serve as a strategic compensation advisor to HR and business leaders, primarily supporting engineering teams, providing guidance on market positioning, pay decisions, and reward strategy in a fast-paced, global environment.
- Support and execute annual compensation processes, including merit cycles, equity planning, incentive programs, and market analysis to ensure alignment with business performance and talent strategy.
- Conduct and maintain market benchmarking activities, including survey participation, peer group management, and development of compensation structures such as job families, leveling, and salary bands.
- Analyze large and complex datasets to identify compensation trends, support budget planning, and ensure internal equity and external competitiveness across roles and regions.
- Contribute to the design, implementation, and governance of compensation policies and programs, ensuring compliance, consistency, and scalability across the organization.
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to improve compensation tools, processes, and storytelling, translating data insights into clear recommendations for senior leadership.
- 5+ years of experience in compensation, HR analytics, consulting, finance, or a related analytical field, ideally within a fast-paced or technology-driven environment.
- Strong expertise in compensation fundamentals including benchmarking, job architecture, pay structures, equity, and incentive design.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets with the ability to manage and analyze large datasets effectively; comfort with PowerPoint or Google Slides for executive-level presentations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify trends, interpret complex data, and translate insights into business recommendations.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with confidence presenting findings and influencing decisions at multiple levels of the organization.
- Strong project management abilities with the capacity to manage multiple priorities in a high-growth, dynamic environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, HR, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
