The Automotive Detailer is responsible for cleaning, detailing, and preparing new and used vehicles to meet dealership standards for customer delivery, display, and service needs. This role requires strong attention to detail, a sense of pride in workmanship, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced dealership environment. Automotive Detailers contribute directly to the overall guest experience by ensuring vehicles are presented cleanly, professionally, and consistently.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Wash, vacuum, and detail new and used vehicles according to dealership standards.
• Perform interior and exterior cleaning, including upholstery, glass, wheels, and trim.
• Apply waxes, sealants, tire dressings, and interior protectants as required.
• Prepare vehicles for customer delivery, showroom display, and service customers.
• Identify and report vehicle damage, wear, or reconditioning needs to Management.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of wash bays, detail areas, tools, and equipment.
• Follow safety procedures, environmental guidelines, and dealership policies at all times.
• Assist with additional lot or vehicle-related duties as needed to support dealership operations.

Qualifications

• Prior automotive detailing or car wash experience preferred but not required.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable attendance and strong time-management skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• On-the-job training provided for qualified candidates with strong work ethic and willingness to learn.

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.
• Ability to bend, reach, crouch, and move around vehicles safely.
• Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Manual dexterity to operate cleaning tools, equipment, and detailing supplies.
