FIDELITY MANUFACTURING is part of the backup Power Generation Industry. We design and build back up power packages (to include tanks and enclosures) for large and small health, industrial, and technology-oriented businesses that cannot have a power lapse at any time.

Position Summary: The Plant Manager is responsible for the start-up, leadership, and ongoing performance of Fidelity Manufacturing's Texas satellite facility. This position has full facility responsibility, including safety, quality, production, staffing, profitability, facility standards, and operational execution.

The Plant Manager reports to the Operations Manager of Fidelity Manufacturing located at headquarters in Florida. All Texas facility departments report directly to this position, with dotted-line alignment to Corporate Shared Services, including Human Resources, Finance, Quality, Continuous Improvement, Engineering, Purchasing, Safety, and other support functions as required.

This role is accountable for establishing a high-performing manufacturing operation that reflects Fidelity Manufacturing's culture, standards, and expectations. Key priorities include launching the new facility, building an effective leadership team, developing strong local relationships, driving profitability, and creating a disciplined lean manufacturing culture.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Lead the start-up and ongoing operation of the Texas satellite facility, ensuring the plant is launched with appropriate structure, staffing, systems, processes, and operating discipline.
  • Provide full facility leadership for production, safety, quality, labor planning, scheduling, maintenance coordination, cost control, employee performance, and daily operational execution.
  • Communicate regularly with the COO, Operations Manager at Shared Service departments regarding facility performance, production schedules, staffing, operational risks, customer commitments, financial results, and resource needs.
  • Ensure all Texas facility departments operate in alignment with Fidelity Manufacturing safety standards, procedures, performance expectations, quality standards, and customer commitments.
  • Develop and lead the Texas facility management team through clear expectations, coaching, accountability, performance management, and consistent communication.
  • Establish and maintain Fidelity Manufacturing's culture and standards at the Texas facility, ensuring the location operates as an integrated extension of the company.
  • Drive profitability through disciplined labor planning, production efficiency, waste reduction, inventory control, schedule attainment, quality performance, and effective use of facility resources.
  • Implement and sustain a lean manufacturing culture focused on continuous improvement, standard work, 5S, visual management, root-cause problem solving, waste reduction, and operational discipline.
  • Monitor and improve key facility performance indicators, including safety, quality, delivery, productivity, labor efficiency, cost, scrap, rework, and customer service.
  • Build strong working relationships and goodwill within the local community, representing Fidelity Manufacturing professionally with workforce partners, vendors, customers, schools, civic organizations, and community leaders.
  • Manage to company culture, policies, safety standards, quality requirements, and operating procedures consistently and professionally.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience, including direct experience as a Plant Manager, Operations Manager, General Manager, or equivalent senior manufacturing operations leader.
  • Demonstrated experience with full facility or major operational responsibility in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven ability to lead production teams, department managers, supervisors, and cross-functional support resources. Manage operational profitability, labor efficiency, cost control, waste reduction, and budget performance.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, production flow, scheduling, labor planning, quality systems, safety programs, inventory control, and facility performance metrics.
  • Experience leading or supporting facility start-up, expansion, major operational change, or oversight of a satellite facility.
  • Strong working knowledge of lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, 5S, standard work, visual management, and root-cause problem solving.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, decision-making, coaching, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Strong business judgment with the ability to prioritize, solve problems, make decisions, and execute in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Working Conditions

Work is performed primarily in a manufacturing warehouse environment with exposure to loud noise, temperature fluctuations, dust, fumes, airborne particles, chemicals, and production byproducts, all within OSHA permissible limits. Work areas may include concrete surfaces, inclines, ramps, metal platforms, and uneven ground, with regular movement around machinery, equipment, tools, forklifts, and production lines.

The use of designated personal protective equipment is required, and safety training is provided in accordance with OSHA regulations, company policy, and industry standards. Some tasks and work assignments may be performed outdoors or between buildings and may involve varying weather conditions and operational climates depending on production needs.

This position will require travel to Fidelity Manufacturing headquarters in Florida and periodic travel for training, vendor meetings, customer meetings, community engagement, or operational support.
