HTI is hiring a Quality Lab Technician for a leading automotive manufacturing facility in the Anderson, SC area. This role supports production operations through testing, analysis, problem-solving, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Quality Lab Technician
Pay: $28.10/hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (occasional weekends)
Location: Anderson, SC

What You'll Do

• Perform laboratory testing and measurements according to customer specifications and plant control plans

• Conduct product and process quality testing, including color matching, adhesion testing, and material evaluations

• Support PPAP qualifications for new products, paints, and processes

• Analyze test results and provide recommendations to production and quality teams

• Maintain laboratory equipment, calibration records, and testing documentation

• Manage product requalification testing and customer master sample preservation

• Support incoming supplier part inspections when required

• Work closely with suppliers and customers on color matching, paint approvals, and quality concerns

• Train production personnel on testing methods and quality control procedures

• Participate in continuous improvement and quality initiatives across the plant

What You Need

• Technician certification or education in Laboratory Technology, Chemistry, Quality, or a related field

• 2-4 years of laboratory, quality, or manufacturing experience

• Experience working with paint systems, plastics, coatings, or industrial materials preferred

• Knowledge of laboratory testing methods and quality reporting

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

• Experience maintaining and calibrating testing equipment

• Ability to communicate effectively with production teams, suppliers, and customers

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and quality documentation systems
