Description:
HTI is hiring a Quality Lab Technician for a leading automotive manufacturing facility in the Anderson, SC area. If you have experience in laboratory testing, quality control, paint systems, plastics, or manufacturing quality processes, this is an opportunity to join a stable, growing company where your technical expertise will directly impact product quality and customer satisfaction. This role supports production operations through testing, analysis, problem-solving, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Quality Lab Technician
Pay: $28.10/hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (occasional weekends)
Location: Anderson, SC
Perform laboratory testing and measurements according to customer specifications and plant control plans
Conduct product and process quality testing, including color matching, adhesion testing, and material evaluations
Support PPAP qualifications for new products, paints, and processes
Analyze test results and provide recommendations to production and quality teams
Maintain laboratory equipment, calibration records, and testing documentation
Manage product requalification testing and customer master sample preservation
Support incoming supplier part inspections when required
Work closely with suppliers and customers on color matching, paint approvals, and quality concerns
Train production personnel on testing methods and quality control procedures
Participate in continuous improvement and quality initiatives across the plant
Technician certification or education in Laboratory Technology, Chemistry, Quality, or a related field
2-4 years of laboratory, quality, or manufacturing experience
Experience working with paint systems, plastics, coatings, or industrial materials preferred
Knowledge of laboratory testing methods and quality reporting
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Experience maintaining and calibrating testing equipment
Ability to communicate effectively with production teams, suppliers, and customers
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and quality documentation systems
