Provide strong leadership in community, customer service, operations, and team development.

• Ensure that the store culture embodies Staples values and its commitment to the community

• Execute operational responsibilities, such as In Stock For the Customer, planogram integrity, and inventory management

• Promote a consultative and customer centric environment primarily for the small business customer

• Empower your team to learn, grow and deliver through coaching and inspiring a culture of exceptional service, consultative selling and total solutions

• Drive profitable sales and margin by fostering a sense of urgency in others to achieve their work

• Assist in associate development and lead a team committed to operational excellence

• Share responsibility for the Manager on duty program and all Sales driving initiatives

• Be flexible on responsibilities (e.g., cleaning, stocking shelves, other duties as assigned)

Essential skills and experience:

• Able to work a flexible overnight schedule based on the stores needs

• 2+ years store management experience in a retail environment or service industry

• Experience leading a team and/or supervising others

• Must be able to engage and speak to customers and understand their needs

• Collaborate and work with other team members

• Ability to lift/move materials in the 10-50 pound range, climb ladders, stand and walk continuously

Preferred skills and experience:

• A clear understanding of merchandising and retail operations
