You will help design and implement systems that process large-scale geospatial datasets and power customer-facing applications used across finance, energy, and defense sectors. This is a fully remote position with occasional coordination across distributed teams and potential on-call responsibilities. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining end-to-end software solutions that support large-scale geospatial intelligence workflows and data-driven applications.

• Build and maintain scalable full-stack applications, including frontend interfaces, APIs, and backend services supporting geospatial data products
• Design and optimize data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, storage, and retrieval of large-scale spatial and satellite datasets
• Contribute to the development of geospatial analytics and algorithms deployed within containerized cloud environments
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements, implement features, and deliver high-quality releases in an agile setting
• Participate in system architecture discussions, code reviews, and technical design decisions to ensure maintainable and efficient solutions
• Support UX considerations by contributing to interface design and ensuring strong user experience across applications
• Stay current with emerging technologies and apply best practices in software engineering, DevOps, and cloud infrastructure

This position requires strong full-stack engineering expertise, experience working with modern cloud-native systems, and the ability to thrive in collaborative, remote-first environments.

• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience with both frontend and backend development
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript, Python, CSS, and modern frameworks such as React and related frontend tooling
• Experience building and deploying microservice-based architectures and working with RESTful APIs
• Hands-on experience with AWS services such as S3, Lambda, ECS, ECR, and DynamoDB
• Solid understanding of DevOps tools including Git, Docker, and virtualized development environments
• Experience working with data-intensive or geospatial systems is highly desirable
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently in a distributed team
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical stakeholders
