This role sits at the intersection of advanced data engineering, cloud architecture, and client-facing consulting within a fast-growing AI and data transformation environment. The Databricks Solution Architect will design and deliver scalable lakehouse architectures that help enterprises unlock the full value of their data. Acting as both a trusted advisor and technical leader, you will guide customers through complex architecture decisions while shaping end-to-end solutions across the Databricks ecosystem. You will also play a key role in pre-sales engagements, translating business needs into technical strategies that demonstrate measurable impact. Working closely with data engineers, scientists, and business stakeholders, you will influence how modern data platforms are built and adopted. This is a highly collaborative, high-impact role for someone who thrives in solving complex problems and enabling enterprise-scale data transformation.
In this role, you will lead the architecture and delivery of Databricks-based solutions while supporting customers through design, implementation, and pre-sales engagements. You will act as a technical authority, ensuring scalable, efficient, and business-aligned data solutions.
- Design and own end-to-end solution architecture based on Databricks Lakehouse, integrating it into broader enterprise data ecosystems
- Define architectural blueprints, data pipeline designs, documentation, and effort estimates for complex implementations
- Act as a pre-sales technical advisor, collaborating with sales teams to support account strategy and customer engagement
- Build and demonstrate proof-of-concept and demo applications to showcase Databricks capabilities and business value
- Work with data scientists and ML engineers to support AI and GenAI solution development
- Conduct technical reviews, optimize code performance, and ensure scalable and efficient implementations
- Identify and mitigate technical risks while ensuring delivery feasibility and architectural integrity
- Mentor internal teams and contribute to continuous improvement of Databricks-based solutions and practices
The ideal candidate brings strong hands-on experience in data architecture, Databricks, and customer-facing consulting, combined with deep technical expertise and strong communication skills.
- 5+ years of experience in solution architecture, consulting, or pre-sales engineering roles in data-related domains
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Databricks, including enterprise-scale implementations
- Strong background in big data technologies (Spark, Hadoop, Kafka) or data warehousing/ETL systems (SQL, OLAP/OLTP)
- Experience working with data science and ML frameworks such as Python, pandas, or scikit-learn
- Strong SQL skills and solid understanding of database systems and data modeling
- Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python, Scala, Java, or R
- Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Proven ability to translate business requirements into technical architecture and gain stakeholder alignment
- Strong communication, documentation, and client-facing presentation skills
- Databricks certification at professional level is highly preferred
- Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related quantitative field is an asset
