Essential Functions

  • Sort tubing before loading and unloading.
  • Help forklift driver move and stack tubing from racks and trucks.
  • Attach identifying tags to tubing or mark them with identifying information.
  • Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments or material or equipment needs.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area to reflect a positive image of themselves and the company.
  • All personal protective equipment (PPE) must be inspected by the employee and worn upon direction of supervisors, managers, and the safety manager. Participate in mandatory safety or PPE training and notify their supervisor when new PPE is necessary.
  • Maintain a clean, neat, and groomed personal appearance to reflect a positive image of themselves and the company.
  • All duties as assigned.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to fumes, particles, moving mechanical parts, vibration, heat, cold, rain, wind, and a variety of other extreme conditions. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk and stand on their feet eight (8) to twelve (12) hours per day. No reoccurring physical problems could be aggravated by this type of work. The employee is frequently required to use hands to portion, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls and to climb or balance. The employee is occasionally required to walk; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift, pull push, carry, and move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds.

The ability to coordinate two or more limbs (for example, two arms, two legs, or one leg and one arm) while sitting, standing, or lying down. It does not involve performing the activities while the whole body is in motion.

The ability to use your abdominal and lower back muscles to support part of the body repeatedly or continuously over time without "giving out" or fatiguing. The ability to quickly move your hand, your hand together with your arm, or your two hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Position Type/Work Schedule

This is a full-time non-exempt hourly position, and the days of work are Monday through Friday. Occasional weekends and/or holidays may be scheduled. Employees may be scheduled to work overtime and be available for emergency overtime when the need arises.
