Job Description
Position Description: HBG Design is seeking a skilled Architect or Technical Designer to contribute to the design and delivery of the firm's hospitality and entertainment projects. The position will assist in preparing architectural designs and construction documents and serve as a bridge between the firm's design and construction documentation functions. The Successful Candidate:
If you are looking for an exciting new place to grow, HBG Design is seeking a designer with the ability to work independently to deliver high-caliber projects and help manage others in building their skills in project documentation and design solutions. This position requires a specialized understanding of building materials, construction methods and costs, and the ability to interact and appropriately apply building codes and regulations. The successful candidate will also possess high level analytical and problem-solving skills.
The Compensation:
$70,000 - $85,000 per year.
Individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, regional cost of living, experience, and qualifications.
Position Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of architectural design and construction documents.
- Regularly monito and track internal deadlines set by Project Manager/Senior Architectural Designer.
- Work closely with Project Team to translate design concepts into “real” cost-effective and innovative solutions.
- Using BIM software (Revit) as a tool, assist in developing designs and sketches into 3D models and construction methods, coordination with specifications, office/project standards, and compliance with codes, and design intent.
- Participate in consultant coordination meetings under the direction of the Project Architect, Senior Architectural Designer, or Project Manager.
- Assist Project Architect in submittal reviews, RFIs, and ASIs as needed.
Qualifications:
- Holds a bachelor's degree from an architectural design school/program.
- Licensed architect with 3-5 years minimum practical experience in documentation and architectural design or actively seeking licensure with minimum 6 years' experience.
- Ability to assist a team in the documentation and/or design of a project.
- Fully competent in all aspects of architecture and thorough understanding of the construction process, techniques, materials, and standards.
- Good communication skills and possesses desire to improve capabilities of other team members.
- Excellent understanding and level of competency in technology used by HBG Design.
