This senior leadership role sits at the center of ecommerce strategy, performance marketing, and digital growth across major online retail platforms. You will shape and execute end-to-end ecommerce marketing strategies that drive profitable growth across marketplaces such as Amazon and other key retail.com partners. The position blends strategic planning with hands-on execution oversight, ensuring strong alignment between brand, sales, media, and creative teams. You will act as the primary ecommerce marketing partner to brand leadership while managing agency relationships and optimizing investment performance. With significant visibility across the organization, this role directly influences revenue, profitability, and digital shelf performance. It is a high-impact position for a leader who thrives in fast-paced, data-driven, and cross-functional environments.

Accountabilities:

In this role, you will lead ecommerce marketing strategy and execution across multiple digital retail platforms, ensuring strong performance against sales, profitability, and return-on-ad-spend objectives while driving alignment across brands, agencies, and internal stakeholders.

  • Develop and execute comprehensive ecommerce business plans across Amazon and other retail.com platforms
  • Own performance marketing strategy, including optimization of media spend, conversion rates, and profitability across channels
  • Lead and manage relationships with third-party ecommerce agencies, ensuring execution excellence and accountability
  • Partner closely with Brand, Sales, Media, and Creative teams to align on strategy, campaigns, budgets, and KPIs
  • Deliver regular performance analysis and reporting, including sales trends, ROAS, risks, and optimization opportunities
  • Drive ecommerce growth by applying deep insights into shopper behavior, category dynamics, and digital shelf performance
  • Oversee budget planning, forecasting, and spend optimization to maximize return on investment
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in ecommerce best practices, platforms, and emerging digital marketing trends
  • Identify risks such as supply chain or out-of-stock issues and proactively develop mitigation strategies
  • Lead and develop the ecommerce team, fostering capability building and cross-functional collaboration
Requirements:

This role requires extensive experience in ecommerce leadership, digital marketing strategy, and marketplace execution, particularly within Amazon and other major retail platforms. Strong analytical, leadership, and stakeholder management skills are essential.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Management, or related field (Master’s preferred)
  • 12+ years of experience in ecommerce, digital marketing, retail, or wholesale environments
  • 8–10+ years of hands-on ecommerce marketing experience, with strong Amazon platform expertise
  • Proven experience managing large-scale ecommerce programs and cross-functional initiatives
  • Strong understanding of ecommerce analytics, performance metrics, and marketing technology tools
  • Demonstrated ability to lead agency partnerships and optimize digital advertising investments (e.g., Amazon Ads ecosystems)
  • Strong strategic thinking combined with executional rigor in fast-paced environments
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills with ability to influence without direct authority
  • Deep knowledge of shopper behavior, brand positioning, and digital commerce ecosystems
  • Strong financial acumen related to budgeting, forecasting, and ROI optimization
