JOB SUMMARY
Inspects and evaluates garments in terms of brand and quality to determine market value and prices according to guidelines. Monitors tagging operation to insure timely availability of textiles for shipping. MANAGEMENT POSITION $16.50 PER HOUR PLUS BENEFITS

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Visually inspects garments and evaluates in terms of brand and quality todeterminemarket value.
• Prices according to set guidelines.
• Pulls all salvage and out of category from hanging garments.
• Directs taggers andmonitorstheirwork flowtoinsurestore shipments are filled per schedule.
• Supervises Hangers toinsuretime schedule and proper hanging procedures for categories aremaintained.
• Conducts semi-annual timing for sheltered employees under supervision.
• Is directly involved in meeting with Textile Sorters toinsurequality of garments being sorted.
• Initiates/maintainsrecords of attendance on leadhanger, hangers, taggers, leadshipperand shippingclerk.
• Interviews, trains,evaluatesand directs personnel assigned to the department.
• Recordsbehaviors and work ethics for trainees assigned to the department.
• Checks supplies and ordersin a timely mannertoinsureno delays in production.
• Monitors Steam Cabinet Operator for safe operations and reports any unsafe actions to Processing Coordinatorimmediately.
• Responsible for general housekeeping inworkarea.
• In the absence of his/her supervisor, follows,enforcesand provides training to ensure that all safety policies,rulesand regulations are followed. Completes andsubmitsany necessary forms and/or reportsimmediately, but no longer than within 24 hours, when an incident occurs. Maintains current certifications in First Aid and CPR and administers First Aid and CPR asrequired.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

• On-the-job training (serving as learner or trainee on the job under the instruction of a qualified worker). Essential experience in other jobs (serving in less responsible jobs which lead to thehigher gradejobor serving in other jobs which qualify). Over30 daysup to and including 3 months.
• Mustmaintaincompliance with Goodwill’s Drug and Alcohol Abuse Policy.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Talking, hearing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, handling, fingering, acuity-near and depth perception.
• Lifting/Carrying/Pushing/Pulling: Medium Work: Lifting 50 lbs. maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 25 lbs.
