QA Analyst and Automation Specialist

We are seeking a versatile QA Analyst and Automation Specialist with hands-on experience testing D2L (Desire2Learn) applications, Curriculum & Catalog Management System (CCMS) and integrations testing with PeopleSoft (PSFT). The candidate will report to the QA Lead and will be skilled in maintaining automation frameworks and developing test automation scripts using Playwright and Postman ensuring reliable and scalable testing coverage for both functional and integration testing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and stakeholders to understand requirements and define functional test cases for D2L applications and PSFT integrations.
  • Maintain and enhance existing automation frameworks to support functional and regression testing.
  • Develop, run, and maintain Playwright automation scripts to test UI components and APIs.
  • Execute functional, integration, and end-to-end testing to validate system behavior and data flows between D2L, CCMS, and PSFT.
  • Identify, log, and track defects; work with development teams for timely resolution.
  • Document scalable test plans, cases, and results with attention to detail and clarity.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes, tools, and automation strategies.
  • Ensure established QA Standard Operation Procedures are followed.
  • Support Agile teams by participating in planning, reviews, and retrospectives to ensure test coverage aligns with sprint goals.
Required Skills
  • Proven experience testing D2L, CCMS, and relevant integrations, preferably with PeopleSoft (PSFT).
  • Strong proficiency in maintaining and enhancing Playwright-based automation frameworks using TypeScript.
  • Solid understanding of functional and integration (RestAPIs and services developed using Mulesoft) testing methodologies.
  • Proficiency in using Postman to create automation testing suites and executions.
  • Able to maintain CI/CD pipelines, repos, and adhere to best practices to create scalable automation suites.
  • Expert in defect tracking and test management tools.
  • Ability to analyze requirements for testability and create comprehensive test cases.
  • Experience working in Agile development environments.
  • Proficient in Github copilot for automation script creation.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills for working with technical and non-technical team members.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of automation experience.
  • Experience testing PSFT Campus Solutions, Catalog and Curriculum Management Systems and D2L.
