Job Description
The Project Manager is responsible for the successful execution of commercial masonry construction projects from project startup through closeout. This role oversees project planning, coordination, financial management, scheduling, procurement, contract administration, customer relationships, and field operations to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and in accordance with quality standards.
The Project Manager serves as the primary leader for assigned projects and is accountable for overall project performance, including profitability, forecasting accuracy, customer satisfaction, and operational success. Working closely with Superintendents, field leadership, customers, and project stakeholders, the Project Manager ensures alignment between project goals, manpower planning, material procurement, scheduling requirements, and production objectives.
Key ResponsibilitiesProject Leadership & Execution- Lead projects through all phases of construction, from preconstruction through closeout.
- Manage project scope, schedule, budget, quality, and execution requirements.
- Coordinate project resources to support successful project delivery.
- Monitor project progress and proactively address challenges, risks, and opportunities.
- Ensure project commitments and customer expectations are met.
- Maintain accountability for overall project performance and outcomes.
- Maintain financial visibility throughout the project lifecycle.
- Monitor labor, material, equipment, subcontractor, and production costs.
- Develop and maintain accurate cost-to-complete projections and forecasts.
- Review project financial performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Support billing, collections, and profitability objectives.
- Provide accurate forecasting and reporting to leadership.
- Partner closely with Superintendents and field leadership to align project priorities.
- Coordinate manpower planning, production goals, material needs, and scheduling requirements.
- Support field operations through proactive communication and collaboration.
- Assist in resolving issues that impact productivity, schedule, quality, or cost.
- Maintain alignment between operational execution and project financial goals.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, general contractors, architects, and project stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain strong professional relationships throughout project execution.
- Participate in project meetings and customer communications.
- Manage expectations through clear and timely communication.
- Address project concerns and facilitate issue resolution.
- Review project contracts, specifications, and project requirements.
- Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation.
- Identify and communicate project risks, scope concerns, and contractual impacts.
- Maintain documentation that protects company interests and supports project success.
- Ensure compliance with contract requirements and project procedures.
- Develop and maintain project schedules and milestone plans.
- Monitor project performance against schedule objectives.
- Coordinate schedule impacts and recovery plans when necessary.
- Support resource planning and forecasting efforts.
- Maintain project reporting and project control systems.
- Coordinate procurement activities and material requirements.
- Manage relationships with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Ensure timely availability of materials, equipment, and project resources.
- Support project logistics and operational planning efforts.

- Strong understanding of construction contracts, scheduling, project controls, and financial management.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Excellent communication, leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management software.
