Hill City Sports Center is seeking enthusiastic, patient, and dependable Swim Instructors to join our aquatics team. We are committed to helping swimmers of all ages and skill levels build confidence, improve technique, and develop lifelong water safety skills in a positive and supportive environment.
Position SummarySwim Instructors are responsible for leading individual and group swim lessons while providing a safe, encouraging, and engaging learning experience for participants. Instructors should be passionate about teaching, safety-focused, and committed to helping students progress in their swimming abilities.
Essentials Duties and Responsibilities
Teach swim lessons to children and adults of varying skill levels
Instruct water safety skills and proper swimming techniques
Create a positive and supportive learning environment
Evaluate participant progress and provide feedback to swimmers and parents
Ensure safety standards and pool rules are followed at all times
Maintain lesson equipment and pool area organization
Communicate professionally with members, parents, and staff
Assist with aquatics programming and special events as needed
Current Swim Instructor certification preferred
Current CPR/AED and First Aid certifications required or willingness to obtain
Strong swimming and teaching skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Patient, energetic, and dependable
Previous teaching or coaching experience preferred
Ability to demonstrate swim techniques and remain in the water for extended periods
Ability to lift, support, or assist participants when necessary
Ability to work in warm, humid pool environments
