JOB SUMMARY
Performs cleaning, decontamination, sterilization activates for surgical instruments, procedure trays and patient care equipment. Incorporates knowledge of techniques, procedures, use of equipment, Hospital and Department policies necessary for efficient and accurate job performance. Unified by the core purpose of creating a healthier community one person at a time, the members of Medical Surgical Services commit themselves to sustaining a culture focused on achieving optimal patient outcomes. This occurs within a learning environment that is supportive and just, where each employee is valued for their contribution to the collective safety of patients, staff, and visitors. Of equal importance is each employee's commitment of the value of teamwork in order to promote a unified and spirited workplace.

SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS
Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English. Ability to perform simple math calculations. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.

REQUIREMENTS
- Preferred GED
- Preferred High School Diploma
- Less than 2 years Preferred
- CBSPD - Certified SPD Tech
- IAHCSMM
