In this volunteer leadership role, you will help guide strategic growth and operational execution within a mission-driven, nationwide civic technology organization focused on strengthening democratic participation. You will work closely with senior leadership to support fundraising strategy, organizational systems, and program effectiveness across key operational areas. The role combines high-level strategic planning with hands-on execution, particularly in fundraising initiatives such as grants, individual giving, and donor engagement. You will contribute to strengthening partnerships, improving program measurement, and ensuring alignment between mission goals and operational delivery. Operating in a fully remote and collaborative environment, you will help scale impact while supporting a distributed volunteer team. • Support the development and execution of organizational strategy, ensuring alignment across programs, fundraising, communications, and operations.
• Lead and expand fundraising initiatives across areas such as grants, individual giving, donor relations, and sustaining programs.
• Build and maintain relationships with funders, partners, and stakeholders to support revenue growth and mission impact.
• Establish and strengthen systems for program tracking, evaluation, and reporting to measure organizational performance.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to ensure operational excellence and effective resource allocation.
• Engage external partners and networks to expand awareness, support, and funding opportunities.
• Contribute to data-driven decision-making by analyzing program outcomes and reporting progress to leadership and stakeholders.
• Help improve organizational processes, governance structures, and scalability of programs.
• Support communications and messaging efforts tied to fundraising and organizational visibility.

• Demonstrated leadership experience, including at least 1 year in a management or equivalent role.
• Proven track record in fundraising, including grants, donor engagement, or development program execution.
• Strong experience building, managing, or scaling programs in a nonprofit or mission-driven environment.
• Excellent organizational and project management skills with the ability to balance strategy and execution.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with confidence engaging diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to coach, collaborate, and work effectively with distributed and diverse teams.
• Data-driven mindset with experience in program evaluation and performance tracking.
• Entrepreneurial, adaptable, and proactive approach to solving complex challenges.
• Strong alignment with mission-driven work and commitment to civic engagement and democracy.

• Fully remote volunteer role within the United States.
