JANITOR in Wheatley, Ontario at Mucci Farms Inc

Title: Janitor

Reports to: General Manager

Based at: Mucci Farms - Hacienda, Wheatley, Ontario

Type of Employment: Full time, permanent, 6 days a week, Monday to Saturday

Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

• Clean offices: sweep, mop floors, vacuum carpet, wipe desks and cabinets, dust fixtures as required
• Clean all mirrors and office windows including door windows
• Wash and disinfect all washroom floors, counters, faucets, door and stall handles, toilets and fixtures
• Wash and disinfect all hand wash basins throughout the facility
• Replenish paper towel dispenser toilet paper, soap and disinfectant dispensers throughout facility
• Empty all wastepaper baskets in offices and warehouse
• Clean and disinfect drinking fountains throughout the facility
• Clean and disinfect points of contact (doorknobs, door plates, faucets, dispensing handles, phone receivers, and desktops)
• Clean kitchen sinks, counters and inside microwaves and refrigerator
• Sweep cafeteria and eating area floors and wipe down tables and chairs
• Keep storage room organized
• Report supply shortages to supervisor
• Maintain cleaning log using prescribed format
• Report damage and/or vandalism
• Cleaning production line
• Cleaning duties in the Greenhouse

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Must be physically able to lift heavy material (i.e. up to 23 kg/50 lbs.)
• Able to climb stairs and stand on feet for an extended period of time
• Must be able to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with body, arms, and/or legs
• Work in a temperature controlled environment of approximately 13°C/55° or 13°C/55°- 27°C/85°

Physical Abilities:

• Must be able to sit, stand, and/or walk for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with body, arms, and/or legs.
• Must be able to lift material regularly up to 14 kg / 30 lbs; and occasionally up to 23 kg / 50lbs
• Must be able to climb stairs and stand on feet for an extended period of time.
• Must be able to work in a temperature-controlled environment of approximately 13 ˚C / 55 ˚F or 13°C/55°- 27°C/85°
