This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Key Account Manager (Distribution) - Taste based in India.

This role sits at the heart of a global leader in flavors and food innovation, focused on shaping taste experiences that define leading food and beverage brands. You will be responsible for managing key distributor and customer relationships while driving commercial growth across assigned accounts. The position combines strategic account mapping, stakeholder engagement, and hands-on project execution to deliver both revenue growth and margin optimization. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including category marketing, pricing, and technical experts to deliver tailored solutions to customers. The environment is dynamic, international, and highly collaborative, with a strong focus on innovation and customer impact. This role requires both commercial acumen and technical understanding of the food and flavor industry. It offers the opportunity to influence market trends while managing high-value accounts in a competitive and evolving sector.

Accountabilities:
  • Identify and map key accounts and stakeholders, including decision-makers and influencers across assigned distribution channels.
  • Manage end-to-end account activities including proactive, reactive, defensive, and maintenance-based commercial strategies.
  • Drive revenue growth by developing and executing account plans aligned with business objectives.
  • Collaborate closely with application, innovation, and category marketing teams to align customer solutions with market insights.
  • Partner with pricing and commercial teams to implement pricing strategies and improve margins.
  • Ensure accurate forecasting and demand planning to support smooth order execution and supply continuity.
  • Develop and maintain strong distributor and customer relationships to support long-term business growth.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify new opportunities and risks.
  • Ensure full compliance with company ethics, standards, and commercial policies.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology, Food Science, Business, or MBA (or related discipline).
  • 5+ years of experience in sales, key account management, or commercial roles within FMCG, flavors, food ingredients, or food & beverage industries.
  • Strong experience managing distributor networks and customer relationships.
  • Solid understanding of both commercial and technical aspects of food or flavor solutions.
  • Proven ability in value selling, negotiation, and driving revenue growth.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, including fluency in Telugu.
  • Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and perform in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset with a proactive, solution-oriented approach.
  • Willingness to travel extensively as part of the role.
  • Knowledge of the flavors industry is a strong advantage.
