CAFÉ ASSOCIATE, Barista - Blue Roan Café (Roanie’s) – Part-time

LBEMG is seeking to fill a part-time position for Café Associate - Barista to support the LBEMG coffee shop, Roanie’s Café. Roanie’s offers a unique Café experience and is part of a large and small animal veterinary practice where the love and health of

animals is our mission. Our goal is to provide a warm and happy café experience while also sharing a love for our furry friends.

We are seeking to fill the role of Café Associate - Barista for Roanies Café. The position will support the café operations and provide customer service to our clientele. The role will be preparing and delivering exceptional café products and services. Roanies is a new coffee shop serving the local area in Penryn, CA. The position is part-time on weekends with opportunities to back up other associates during the week as needed.

Key Functions:

• Provide outstanding customer service to clients.
• Engage customers to improve the overall customer experience to build a loyal customer base.
• Prepare and serve a variety of quality coffee, tea and smoothie beverages.
• Practice active food safety and cleanliness activities.
• Demonstrate passion for people, coffee, and service delivery.
• Contribute to overall team deliverables daily.
• Ensure that all company and store standards, guidelines, and procedures are followed.
• Ensure store appearance is always maintained, including café seating area.
• Problem solves equipment issues in a timely way.
• Assist with opening and closing procedures.

Skill Requirements and Qualifications:

• 3 months experience in food and beverage or hospitality.
• Certified Barista is a plus and/or willing to attain.
• Food handler's license, willing to attain.
• Basic knowledge of food health and safety protocols.
• Ability to perform physical tasks which includes some lifting (<25 lbs.)
• Flexibility to fill in for relief at times.
