The Housekeeper plays a critical role in maintaining the appearance, cleanliness, and overall presentation of each MMG community. A clean community creates positive first impressions, enhances resident satisfaction and retention, supports leasing efforts, and protects the value of the owner's investment.
Job SummaryThe Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of all interior and exterior common areas, leasing offices, amenity spaces, vacant apartment homes, and other assigned areas. The position ensures the community consistently meets MMG's standards for cleanliness, safety, and curb appeal while providing exceptional service to residents and guests.

- Clean all interior and exterior common areas including hallways, breezeways, stairwells, entryways, sidewalks, elevators, mailrooms, and lobbies.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, sanitize, and remove cobwebs and debris.
- Empty trash receptacles and replace liners throughout the community.
- Maintain clean windows, doors, handrails, and high-touch surfaces.
- Clean and sanitize the leasing office, conference rooms, break areas, and restrooms.
- Maintain fitness centers, clubhouses, business centers, package rooms, grills, grill areas, outdoor kitchens, pool furniture, and other amenities.
- Restock restroom and cleaning supplies as needed.
- Perform detailed move-in/move-out cleaning of vacant apartment homes.
- Clean kitchens, bathrooms, appliances, cabinets, countertops, windows, flooring, and fixtures.
- Ensure apartments meet MMG move-in standards.
- Maintain clean entryways, breezeways, patios, and outdoor gathering spaces.
- Clean outdoor furniture and report damage or hazards.
- Support seasonal cleaning and special projects.
- Safely operate cleaning equipment and follow OSHA/SDS requirements.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and notify management when replenishment is needed.
- Report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, and vandalism immediately.
- Provide courteous service to residents and visitors.
- Assist with community inspections, events, and additional duties assigned by management.
Qualifications
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous housekeeping, janitorial, hospitality, or multifamily cleaning experience preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred
- Apartment community or hotel housekeeping experience.
- Knowledge of proper cleaning chemicals and equipment.
