Maintenance/Caretaking Hybrid

The Emery Apartments, a luxury apartment complex in Farmington, MN, is currently seeking a Maintenance Technician/Caretaker hybrid position to join our team! You will be responsible for completing work orders, maintenance and cleaning of apartment turns, and cleaning common areas. This is a part-time position, 20 to 30 hours per week, plus on-call emergency maintenance as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Complete work and repair orders in a timely fashion including but not limited to plumbing, appliances, HVAC repairs, lock changes and minor electrical repairs
• Estimate time and extent of repairs
• Perform routine preventive maintenance
• Perform turnaround maintenance and cleaning.
• Additional responsibilities as directed
• Cleaning vacant apartments
• Cleaning common areas
• Overtime as needed

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of previous maintenance and experience required
• 1+ years of caretaking experience
• Familiarity with maintenance tools and equipment
• Ability to handle physical workload
• Deadline and detail-oriented
• Ability to work well as a team
• Must pass background check
• Must have the necessary tools for apartment maintenance
• Reliable Transportation
• Able to communicate with management effectively

Compensation:

Shift differential pay of $20 to $22 per hour for caretaking and $25 to $27 per hour for maintenance.

Benefits:

Earned Paid Sick & Safe Time (1-hour earned for every 30 hours worked)
