Job Description
Stan’s in New Iberia is seeking a Skilled Mechanic to join our team and perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on a wide range of equipment and vehicles. The ideal candidate has strong technical expertise, excellent problem solving abilities, and a commitment to delivering high quality workmanship.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues using proper tools and manuals.
• Repair and maintain engines, A/C systems, brakes, suspension components, and related systems.
• Spot wear, damage, or safety issues and recommend needed repairs.
• Document all work performed and parts used; ensure repairs meet safety and manufacturer standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Keep up-to-date with new tools, technology, and repair methods.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Minimum 2 years of automotive repair experience.
• Solid understanding of mechanical systems, diagnostics, and repair procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret diagrams, service manuals, and schematics.
• Strong electrical knowledge and troubleshooting skills.
• Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
• Valid driver’s license required; ASE or OEM certifications are a plus.
• Able to lift 80+ lbs and work in typical shop conditions.
WORK ENVIRONMENT and BENEFITS:

• Schedule: Full time, Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–5:00 PM, with overtime opportunities.
