Echo Technician - Cardiac Diagnostic Testing Center in Mountain Home, Arkansas at Baxter Health

SUMMARY: Responsible and accountable for creating, implementing, and supporting the daily operations of Cardiac Diagnostic Center and working independently to adhere to BH mission , vision and values.

BAXTER HEALTH COMPLIANCE RESPONSIBILITIES

Understands and adheres to Baxter Health standards as they appear in Dynamic Health and HealthStream Policy Manager.

Required to work with the Director of Respiratory regularly to carryout, initiate and/or implement best practices for the Baxter Health Cardiac Diagnostic Testing Center Department.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education: Current Registry in Echocardiogram through ARDMS or CCI or I year scanning experience.

Experience: Minimum one-year Echocardiogram scanning experience, clinical training will be considered.

Demonstrated knowledge and ability to perform all phases of cardiac echocardiography including 2-D imaging, M-Mode/measurements, standard doppler and color doppler.

Certification: BLS Certification

Other: Must be extremely detail oriented, organized and conscientious to ensure high quality work. Excellent time-management and follow-up skills to ensure work deadlines are met. Outstanding communication, presentation and interpersonal skills. Must be a positively contributing team

player and possess willingness to be cross-trained in other functional areas. Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality with regard to employment data, HIPAA, and departmental operations.

Work Environment
Cardiac Diagnostic Testing Center, patient areas. Possible exposure to body fluids including respiratory droplets, sputum, blood, etc. May be exposed to infectious airborne particulates before a patient is placed in isolation. Clinic setting, within a hospital environment.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a position in a hospital setting which is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Cardiac Diagnostic Staff: 5 days a week, Monday – Friday, 8-hour shifts.
