As a Senior Sales Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting enterprise sales initiatives by providing technical expertise, solution guidance, and strategic support throughout the customer journey. You will collaborate with internal teams, customers, and partners to drive successful technical engagements and business outcomes.
- Develop territory plans and account strategies in collaboration with sales teams to identify and expand business opportunities.
- Present technical solutions and demonstrate how platform capabilities address customer challenges and business priorities.
- Act as a trusted advisor for customers and partners, providing guidance throughout discovery, evaluation, proposal, and decision-making stages.
- Lead proof-of-value activities, technical workshops, architecture discussions, and solution demonstrations.
- Build strong relationships with technical stakeholders and create detailed technical account plans.
- Deliver compelling presentations, whiteboard sessions, and customer success discussions to audiences ranging from engineers to executive leadership.
- Support channel and alliance partners through technical enablement and knowledge sharing.
- Stay current with industry developments, certifications, emerging technologies, and market trends.
- Collect customer feedback and collaborate with product teams to influence future product improvements.
- Develop internal best practices and share expertise to strengthen technical capabilities across the wider team.
The ideal candidate is an experienced sales engineering professional with a strong background in enterprise technology, data management, and customer-facing technical leadership. You should combine strong communication skills with the ability to design solutions, understand business needs, and guide complex technical decisions.
- 10+ years of experience in a pre-sales engineering role.
- 8+ years of experience working within software, storage, infrastructure, or related technology industries.
- Security clearance (NV1 or higher).
- Strong understanding of data management solutions, including backup, recovery, security resilience, migration, compliance, and cloud workloads.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, along with modern technologies including containers and Kubernetes/OpenShift.
- Strong knowledge of infrastructure technologies including storage, servers, networking, cloud platforms, and hyper-converged environments.
- Understanding of enterprise applications such as SAP, Oracle, Exchange, SharePoint, and Active Directory.
- Experience working with public sector customers and understanding competitive market landscapes.
- Familiarity with software licensing, cloud sizing, CRM platforms such as Salesforce, and structured sales methodologies such as MEDDPICC.
- Strong presentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills across technical and executive audiences.
- Ability to work independently, manage complex projects, and collaborate effectively across teams.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
