  • Strengthen cloud security controls aligned with regulatory and compliance requirements such as FedRAMP and HIPAA.
  • Partner with security teams on IAM reviews, compliance evidence, and automated security checks.
  • Support FinOps initiatives by identifying cost optimization opportunities and improving resource utilization.
  • Use AI-assisted engineering tools to accelerate Infrastructure as Code development, documentation, troubleshooting, and operational workflows.
  • Create technical documentation, cloud standards, reference architectures, and best practices for engineering teams.
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to deliver secure, scalable cloud solutions.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and support production systems when needed.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience in cloud engineering, automation, security, and modern infrastructure practices. They should be comfortable working independently in complex environments while collaborating with technical and business stakeholders.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • Deep expertise with AWS services including EC2, EKS/ECS, IAM, VPC, S3, RDS, and CloudWatch.
  • Experience designing and managing Azure cloud infrastructure.
  • Strong Infrastructure as Code experience with Terraform, CDK, CloudFormation, or similar technologies.
  • Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or equivalent tools.
  • Strong understanding of IAM architecture, cross-account access patterns, and least-privilege security principles.
  • Experience with containerized environments and Kubernetes/EKS.

  • Proficiency in scripting languages including Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Experience integrating security practices and tooling into cloud development and deployment processes.
  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to explain technical concepts and tradeoffs to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience working in regulated environments such as FedRAMP, HIPAA, or SOC 2 is preferred.
  • Familiarity with FinOps practices and cloud cost governance is preferred.
  • AWS certifications such as Solutions Architect Associate or Professional are a plus.
