Fullstack Engineer -Java

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Fullstack Engineer - Java based in India.

This role offers the opportunity to design, develop, and deliver scalable full-stack applications using modern Java technologies and web frameworks. You will contribute to building high-quality software solutions that support critical business functions while working within a collaborative and agile engineering environment. The position combines hands-on development with technical leadership, requiring strong expertise in backend architecture, frontend technologies, and cloud-based applications. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into effective technical solutions. The role provides the chance to influence application design, improve engineering practices, and mentor other developers. You will play a key role in delivering reliable, user-focused digital experiences through innovative software development.

Accountabilities:

The Fullstack Engineer - Java will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust full-stack applications while contributing to technical decision-making and team delivery. Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing scalable backend solutions using Java, J2EE, Spring, Hibernate, JPA, and related technologies.
  • Building modern web applications using JavaScript, Ajax, HTML5, CSS, JSON, Bootstrap, Angular, React, and other frontend frameworks.
  • Designing and implementing multi-tier, browser-based applications with a focus on performance, scalability, and maintainability.
  • Developing and supporting applications using Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) 6.0+.
  • Collaborating with business and marketing teams to understand requirements and translate technical capabilities into user stories and development tasks.
  • Breaking down complex features into actionable technical requirements and ensuring successful delivery.
  • Managing, supporting, and mentoring other developers to help achieve project objectives.
  • Building and deploying microservices while contributing to CI/CD pipeline implementation and automation.
  • Designing and optimizing database solutions using technologies such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, and NoSQL databases.
  • Applying Agile software development methodologies and contributing to continuous improvement practices.
  • Ensuring software quality through effective testing strategies, test automation, and focus on maintainable code.
  • Documenting technical processes, architectural decisions, and development practices while communicating solutions effectively across teams.
  • Working with cloud-based applications and services, including AWS environments.
  • Collaborating with geographically distributed teams when required.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate is a highly experienced full-stack engineer with strong Java expertise, excellent problem-solving abilities, and experience delivering enterprise-level applications. Required qualifications and skills include:

  • 7+ years of professional experience with Java and J2EE development.
  • 7+ years of experience with web technologies, including object-oriented JavaScript, Ajax, JavaScript libraries, Bootstrap, Angular or React, HTML5, CSS, JSON, and browser compatibility considerations.
  • Hands-on experience implementing solutions with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) 6.0+.
  • Experience working within IT organizations supporting marketing or business-facing functions.
  • Strong experience with Java frameworks including Spring, Hibernate, and JPA.
  • Experience working with relational databases such as Oracle and PostgreSQL, as well as NoSQL databases.
  • Experience developing microservices and working with CI/CD build and deployment pipelines.
  • Knowledge of Spring Boot is considered a plus.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies and modern software engineering practices.
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented analysis and design (OOAD) principles and methodologies such as UML.
  • Experience using version control systems such as Git and issue tracking tools such as Jira.
  • Experience developing cloud-based applications, particularly using AWS.
  • Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly.
  • Ability to manage ambiguity, solve complex problems, learn quickly, and proactively contribute to team success.
