Work Environment & Schedule: A standard schedule is provided in advance, with occasional on-demand trips as business needs arise. Occasional weekend flying required; no holiday flying expected. Based locally to company headquarters. Travel is primarily domesticated, with limited international operations (e.g., Canada or South America).

Position Overview

The Corporate Pilot - Second-in-Command performs all flight duties in support of executive leadership and authorized passengers, ensuring the safe, professional, and efficient operation of company aircraft. The SIC serves as a critical member of the flight crew, assisting the Pilot-in-Command in all phases of flight operations and contributing to the highest standards of safety, service, discretion and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

The Corporate Pilot - Second-in-Command shall be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

Flight Operations

• Serve as Second-in-Command aboard company aircraft and perform all assigned duties in accordance with FAA regulations and company policies.
• Adhere to all rules and regulations of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
• Assist the Pilot-in-Command with all phases of flight operations, including flight planning, pre-flight inspections, weather analysis, aircraft loading, and post-flight procedures.
• Serve as Pilot-in-Command when qualified, current, and authorized by the Chief Pilot.
• Study weather conditions and forecast for departure, enroute, destination, and alternate airports.
• Prepare flight plans, calculate weight and balance, fuel requirements, and aircraft performance data.
• Ensure aircraft readiness, cleanliness, and operational reliability.
• Assist in coordinating maintenance activities and aircraft servicing as needed.
• Maintain the highest standards of passenger safety, confidentiality and customer service.
• Ensure the aircraft is operated safely and efficiently at all times.
• Comply with established schedules and operational requirements.

Compliance & Qualifications Maintenance

• Maintain all required FFA certifications, medical qualifications, recurrent training, and flight currency requirements.
• Comply with applicable FAA regulations, insurance requirements, TSA requirements, and company policies.
• Participate in recurrent training and proficiency evaluations as required.

Required Qualifications

• Commercial Pilot with Multi-Engine Instrument Rating.
• Current First-Class or Second-Class FAA Medical.
• Minimum flight requirements:
  • 1,500 hours total flight time.
  • 500 hours multi-engine time.
  • 100 hours of jet aircraft time.
• Strong working knowledge of FAR Part 91 operations.
• Must successfully complete a pre-employment aviation Fit-for-Duty examination, including drug and alcohol testing.
• Ability to pass pre-employment background check and TSA requirements
• Valid passport with the ability to travel internationally
• Willingness to reside within a reasonable commuting distance of the company headquarters.

Preferred Qualifications

• CE-560 type rating or experience in Citation aircraft and similar corporate jet aircraft.
• Prior corporate or business aviation experience.
• Experience supporting executive and VIP travel
• Bachelor's degree.

• Thorough knowledge of flight operations and aircraft systems.
• Strong aeronautical decision-making and situational awareness.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites or similar software.
• Ability to represent the company in a professional executive environment.
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding passengers, travel schedules, and company business operations.

Working Conditions

• Ability to sit for extended periods while operating aircraft controls and avionics.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds to a height of approximately 50 inches.
• Ability to exert required force to manipulate flight controls, throttle, switches, and oxygen systems.
• Sufficient dexterity and grip strength in both hands to safely operate aircraft systems.
