Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Scaffold Leadman to lead scaffold crews on industrial construction, maintenance, and turnaround projects. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with a strong commitment to safety, quality, and productivity who can effectively supervise crews while ensuring scaffolding is erected and dismantled in accordance with all applicable standards.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise scaffold crews on industrial and commercial job sites.
- Read and interpret scaffold drawings and project specifications.
- Plan daily work activities and coordinate manpower, equipment, and materials.
- Ensure scaffolds are erected, modified, and dismantled safely and efficiently.
- Conduct daily safety meetings and job hazard assessments.
- Inspect scaffolding for compliance with OSHA and company standards.
- Train and mentor scaffold builders and helpers.
- Coordinate with project management, clients, and other trades to maintain project schedules.
- Complete required documentation including inspections, timekeeping, and daily reports.
- Promote a culture of safety, quality, and professionalism.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of scaffold construction experience.
- Previous experience leading scaffold crews required.
- Thorough knowledge of OSHA scaffold regulations and industry best practices.
- Ability to read scaffold drawings and work plans.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work at heights and in varying weather conditions.
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel as project needs require.
- Valid driver's license preferred.
- Scaffold Competent Person certification is preferred.
