Job Description

We are seeking a Sr. Director, Growth Marketing who will be responsible for leading the strategy, development, and execution of performance-driven marketing initiatives that accelerate sales, transactions, customer acquisition, retention, frequency, and lifetime value for the Jack in the Box brand. This role is accountable for the Company's first-party (1P) digital strategy, loyalty program, CRM, third-party delivery business, and regional marketing efforts, ensuring each program is data-driven, commercially focused, and aligned with the brand's growth objectives.

KEY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Growth Marketing Strategy & Leadership

Develops and executes growth marketing strategies that drive customer acquisition, retention, frequency, profitability, and sales across first-party and third-party channels.

Identifies opportunities to accelerate sales and transaction growth through customer segmentation, personalization, lifecycle marketing, loyalty engagement, digital experiences, and local market activation.

Establishes objectives, KPIs, and measurement frameworks to evaluate performance and ensure initiatives deliver meaningful business impact.

Partners with Brand Marketing and Product Marketing teams to maximize the effectiveness of enterprise marketing campaigns, product launches, promotions, and customer engagement programs.

First-Party Digital, Loyalty & CRM

Leads the Company's 1P digital strategy, driving customer engagement across owned digital platforms and channels.

Oversees the loyalty ecosystem and roadmap to grow membership, increase retention, deepen engagement, and drive incremental sales.

Develops and manages CRM strategies, lifecycle programs, automated communications, and personalized marketing initiatives that increase customer lifetime value.

Uses customer, loyalty, and transaction data to generate insights, optimize customer experiences, and improve program performance.

Partners with internal and external stakeholders to enhance digital customer journeys and improve conversion.

Third-Party Delivery Leadership

Owns the strategy, performance, and growth of third-party delivery channels. Leads partnership negotiations, joint business planning, promotional strategies, and marketing investment decisions.

Identifies opportunities to increase customer acquisition, order frequency, channel profitability, and marketplace visibility.

Evaluates delivery performance, competitive trends, customer insights, and marketplace opportunities to inform growth objectives.

Partners with Operations, Finance, Technology, and Marketing teams to ensure successful execution of delivery initiatives.

Regional & Field Marketing

Oversees regional and field marketing strategies that drive performance across diverse markets and franchise communities.

Leads the development and execution of market-specific programs, grand openings, local partnerships, community initiatives, and regional growth opportunities.

Partners with Operations and Franchise leadership to address local market needs while maintaining brand consistency.

Establishes processes, tools, and best practices that enable regional marketing teams to support restaurant performance and local growth.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Partners with Brand Marketing, Product Marketing, Insights, Finance, Operations, Franchise Leadership, Technology, and external partners to align growth initiatives with enterprise objectives.

Builds strong cross-functional relationships that enable seamless execution of integrated marketing plans and growth programs.

Influences stakeholders at all levels through strategic thinking, sound business rationale, and data-driven recommendations.

Promotes collaboration, accountability, and transparency across teams and business partners.

Budget Management & Performance Optimization

Develops and manages budgets across loyalty, CRM, first-party digital, third-party delivery marketing, and regional marketing initiatives.

Monitors program performance and financial results to optimize investments and maximize return on marketing spend.

Establishes test-and-learn agendas across channels to drive continuous improvement and innovation.

Provides executive leadership with regular reporting, insights, recommendations, and growth opportunities.

Team Leadership

Leads, develops, and mentors a high-performing growth marketing organization.

Builds a culture of performance, collaboration, innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Manages a hybrid and remote team environment and fosters engagement across geographically dispersed employees.

Performs other related duties, tasks, and responsibilities as required, assigned, and directed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education - Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, Economics, or related field required; MBA preferred.

Experience – 10+ years of progressive marketing experience with significant focus on growth marketing, digital marketing, loyalty, CRM, customer engagement, and performance-driven marketing, preferably in the Restaurant, Consumer Products or Retail industry. Experience managing loyalty programs, CRM platforms, customer lifecycle marketing, and personalization initiatives. Experience leading third-party delivery partnerships, marketplace marketing, and strategic business planning preferred. Experience with a multi-unit and franchise concept highly desired.

Key Skills and Competencies

Strong business acumen with the ability to connect marketing strategies to financial and operational outcomes.

Deep knowledge of growth marketing, customer lifecycle management, loyalty programs, CRM strategy, and digital customer engagement.

Demonstrates sound business judgment, commercial acumen, and a strong understanding of business drivers.

Excellent communication, presentation, and influencing skills.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable business recommendations.

Proven ability to develop and execute customer acquisition and retention strategies; balances strategic thinking with disciplined execution.

Demonstrates adaptability, resilience, and solutions-oriented approach in a dynamic business environment.

Proven experience managing complex external partnerships and vendor relationships.

Strong leadership to foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and learnings

Ability to effectively build collaborative partnerships cross-functionally and with the franchise community.

Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams in a hybrid and remote work environment.

Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 and marketing technology platforms.

Physical Requirements – Ability to work from the corporate office located in San Diego, CA 4 days/week. Ability to communicate clearly in person and by phone. Ability to operate a computer keyboard and other technology devices. Ability to travel approximately 20-25% of time as business needs require.

The range for this position is $180,000 - $260,000 and is based on an employee located at our corporate headquarters in San Diego. If the candidate is hired in a different city to work remote, we may apply a geographic pay differential based on the cost of labor in the market in which the employee resides.
