Job Description

Lifecycle Marketing Lead (Remote CAD)

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Lifecycle Marketing Lead (Remote CAD) based in Canada.

This is a foundational leadership opportunity to build and scale a Lifecycle Marketing practice within a high-performance B2B marketing environment.
You’ll combine strategic leadership with hands-on execution across eCommerce, SaaS, and service-based business models.
The role spans customer journeys from acquisition and nurture through conversion, onboarding, retention, and expansion.
You’ll shape lifecycle methodology, technology recommendations, segmentation, experimentation, and measurement frameworks.
As a player-coach, you’ll lead complex client engagements while mentoring and developing marketers as the practice grows.
You’ll also influence sales, scoping, and commercial strategy by helping define where lifecycle programs can create measurable revenue impact.
This is an autonomous, fast-moving role for someone energized by ambiguity, innovation, and building something differentiated from the ground up.

Accountabilities
  • Lifecycle strategy and architecture: Build lifecycle strategies grounded in customer journeys, revenue models, business objectives, and available data across eCommerce, SaaS, and service environments.
  • Customer journey design: Architect end-to-end prospect and customer journeys spanning acquisition, nurture, conversion, onboarding, retention, expansion, and re-engagement.
  • Segmentation and personalization: Develop segmentation approaches using demographic, firmographic, behavioral, purchase, engagement, lifecycle-stage, and account-level data.
  • Testing and measurement: Identify program gaps, prioritize high-impact opportunities, establish testing roadmaps, and connect lifecycle activity to pipeline, revenue, retention, expansion, and other meaningful outcomes.
  • Hands-on delivery: Remain closely involved in client execution, translating strategy into practical programs across diverse technology stacks and data environments.
  • Client leadership: Own senior client relationships, lead strategic conversations, provide recommendations, and ensure lifecycle initiatives remain aligned with business priorities.
  • Practice development: Help build and evolve the lifecycle offering, including its methodology, service model, frameworks, delivery standards, and technology recommendations.
  • Team leadership: Mentor, develop, and eventually help build the team as the practice expands, fostering high-quality execution and continuous improvement.
  • Sales and commercial growth: Support opportunity scoping, pitches, and client expansion while helping sales and client teams identify where lifecycle marketing can generate meaningful value.
  • Cross-functional collaboration: Partner with RevOps, Sales Operations, Marketing Operations, and other stakeholders to improve data, systems, processes, and lifecycle performance.
Requirements
  • 6+ years of experience in Lifecycle Marketing, CRM, marketing automation, retention, or a closely related discipline.
  • Relevant business-model experience: Strong background supporting B2B, SaaS, service, or complex eCommerce organizations; purely traditional DTC experience is unlikely to provide sufficient breadth.
  • Program architecture: Proven ability to build lifecycle programs from the ground up rather than exclusively optimizing established programs.
  • Technical expertise: Strong knowledge of segmentation, automation, customer journeys, trigger logic, experimentation, and lifecycle measurement.
  • Marketing platforms: Working expertise with at least two major platforms such as HubSpot, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Pardot, Klaviyo, Marketo, or Attentive.
  • Data fluency: Ability to work effectively with imperfect or fragmented data and develop practical solutions despite technical limitations.
  • Commercial orientation: Experience connecting lifecycle activity to pipeline, revenue, retention, expansion, or other measurable business outcomes.
  • Client leadership: Excellent communication skills and confidence leading strategic discussions with senior stakeholders.
  • Player-coach mindset: Comfortable moving between strategic leadership and hands-on execution, while mentoring or developing other marketers.
  • Consultative and commercial skills: Strong instincts around scoping, pitching, expanding engagements, and identifying opportunities for additional client value.
  • Adaptability: Comfortable operating with ambiguity, creating structure where little exists, and adjusting your perspective based on data and client context.
  • Additional strengths: Agency or consulting experience, experience across both eCommerce and B2B/SaaS, channel-driven revenue models, ERP environments, SMS programs, lifecycle audits, professional-services sales, or building new teams and capabilities are strong advantages.
Benefits
  • Competitive compensation: CAD $130,000–$160,000 annual base salary, with final compensation determined by relevant skills, experience, and compensation practices.
  • Health coverage: Medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance for employees and eligible dependents.
  • Employer-paid benefits: 100% employer-paid coverage for employees and a 50% employer contribution for dependents in applicable regions.
  • Mental wellbeing: Access to certified therapists and mental wellness resources.
  • Physical wellbeing: Access to physical therapy, virtual fitness programs, and primary/virtual care services.
  • Flexible time off: Unlimited PTO with a two-week minimum, paid company holidays, and your birthday off.
  • Company recharge: End-of-year company closure from December 24 through January 1.
  • Family support: Paid parental leave.
  • Financial benefits: Retirement savings plan with a company contribution where applicable.
  • Annual bonus: Bonus opportunity based on tenure, increasing over time.
  • Remote-first flexibility: Opportunity to work fully remotely from a Canadian home office, subject to applicable work authorization and location requirements.
  • Community: Annual company-wide retreat and opportunities to collaborate with colleagues across distributed teams.
