Legal Assistant III - Litigation

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Legal Assistant III - Litigation based in United States.

This role offers the opportunity to support a high-performing litigation team delivering accurate, timely, and client-focused legal services.
You will manage legal documentation, internal and client systems, work queues, and administrative processes that are essential to efficient case operations.
The position requires strong attention to detail and the ability to apply legal terminology, procedures, and requirements consistently.
You will work with internal teams and external stakeholders while helping ensure compliance with applicable laws, court requirements, client expectations, and established procedures.
The role is well suited to an organized professional who can manage deadlines, communicate clearly, and work independently in a technology-driven environment.
You will contribute directly to the quality and reliability of legal work supporting financial institutions and creditor-rights matters.
This is a full-time opportunity for an experienced legal assistant who values accuracy, responsiveness, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Accountabilities
  • Update internal firm systems and external client systems accurately and within established deadlines.
  • Sort, scan, categorize, label, digitally file, and organize legal documents according to applicable procedures.
  • Complete assigned work queue items within designated service timelines while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
  • Apply and retain fundamental legal concepts and terminology relevant to assigned responsibilities.
  • Assist with preparing required materials and documentation for court appearances and litigation-related activities.
  • Review incoming documents and ensure they are distributed promptly to the appropriate parties.
  • Communicate professionally and responsively through telephone, email, internal messaging platforms, and external communication channels.
  • Follow established procedures, job aids, policies, and quality standards when processing assigned work.
  • Support compliance with applicable laws, regulations, client requirements, court rules, and legal best practices.
  • Complete required training and development activities through the organization’s learning management system.
  • Maintain consistent productivity and quality while handling multiple assignments and deadlines.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and internal stakeholders while taking ownership of individual responsibilities.
  • Perform additional duties and support operational priorities as assigned.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3–5 years of experience in a legal assistant, legal operations, data entry, or closely related role.
  • Previous experience in a litigation-focused environment is preferred.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Experience working in a technology-driven environment with digital workflows and systems.
  • Strong data-entry skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to understand and consistently follow instructions, procedures, job aids, and organizational policies.
  • Strong time-management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple assignments.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently while also contributing effectively within a team.
  • Strong commitment to providing responsive, accurate, timely, and professional service.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel, along with strong general computer skills.
  • Ability to learn and apply legal terminology, processes, and requirements relevant to creditor-rights and litigation matters.
  • Ability to work at a computer for significant portions of the day and perform repetitive movements such as typing and clicking.
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods and lift approximately 10–20 pounds when required.
  • Authorization to work in the United States.
