The Referral Center CMA works with physician offices to refer patients to healthcare resources that are being recommended by the providers. The medical assistant also instructs patients and significant others in health care practices, working in collaboration with other health team members.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Professional & Technical Skills

Experience gained through a Medical Assistant program plus an appropriate period of physician office orientation and training.

Education

Completion of Medical Assistant course.

License(s) or Certification(s)

Medical Assistant Certification required.

Other Skills or Requirements

Ability to type 30 wpm with 3 errors or less. Excellent communication skills.
