Job Description
TITLE: Facilities Management Manager
DEPARTMENT: Facilities Management
STATUS: Full Time - 40 hours per week
HOURS: Primarily Day shift. Occasional afternoon shift and weekend hours may be required based on needs of the department. Position requires call time. Low Census may be required in response to workload demand.
JOB SUMMARY:
With limited supervision and broad general direction, performs administrative duties and directs departmental activities, staff and outside contractors in all phases of facility management duties to maintain buildings, grounds, and equipment. Ability to perform or delegate duties necessary to maintain the building, grounds and equipment.
QUALIFICATIONS/POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
A. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- High School graduate or equivalent, required.
- Previous experience working within a facility management department or similar work experience.
- Management/supervisory/lead experience, required.
- General knowledge of construction, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, required.
- Ability to work individually and in a team setting.
- Self-directed
- Ability to read, write and speak the English language
B. LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION
1. Must possess a valid driver's license and meet the insurability requirements of the company's vehicle insurance carrier.
2. Trade licensure desired.

- Serving on department/hospital committees
- Influences the direction of Facility Management Department by maintaining a positive perspective/attitude.
- Demonstrates ability to communicate in speech, writing, and reading.
- Demonstrates administrative and technical skills essential to job.
- Demonstrates ability to handle multiple tasks in a stressful situation while maintaining composure and excellence in duties performed.
- Demonstrates ability to gather and analyze data for reports and give estimates on construction.
- Demonstrates ability to read and understand blueprints and specification of new construction, installation, and facility management of equipment.
- Exhibits ability to make emergency decisions in respect to failure of plant utilities, equipment failure, etc.
- Possesses knowledge of applicable national, state, and local building codes & regulations.
