As a Runner at FARMSHOP, you'll embody our commitment to exceptional hospitality. You'll serve as the vital link between our kitchen and dining room, ensuring dishes reach guests quickly, accurately, and beautifully presented. Your role will involve delivering orders accurately, serving food and beverages promptly, and ensuring guest satisfaction with every interaction. Collaborating closely with our kitchen and server teams, you'll contribute to the seamless flow of service while maintaining our high standards of cleanliness and organization in the dining area.

• Retrieve prepared dishes from the kitchen and deliver them to the correct guests promptly and accurately.
• Confirm order and table details with kitchen and server staff before delivery to ensure accuracy.
• Maintain proper food presentation and temperature standards while transporting dishes.
• Communicate any delays, shortages, or issues to servers and kitchen staff in a timely manner.
• Assist servers with clearing and resetting tables as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the expo and pass area.
• Monitor tables for additional needs and relay requests to the appropriate team member.
• Collaborate with kitchen and server teams to ensure smooth, seamless service.
• Maintain customer privacy, behave with open-mindedness and cultural sensitivity.
• Patience and the ability to maintain a professional demeanor.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
• Enforce health and safety precautions.
• Follow all safety and state guidelines for preventing transmission of Covid-19 and other illnesses.

Education and Experience

High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Food handler certification is required.

Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) Certification is required.

Work Environment

This position is based in a restaurant setting and requires the employee to work both indoors (dining room, kitchen, and service areas) and outdoors (patio or outdoor seating areas, as applicable), in varying temperatures and weather conditions.
